They assist the surgery scheduler with coordinating surgeries and pre-operative appointments and collect information on deductibles and copayments. The specialist works with staff to ensure payments are collected or payment plans arranged, supports patients and faculty by managing check-in and check-out processes, and ensures accurate demographic and insurance information. They also handle copayments, prepare medical records, obtain notes from referring physicians, process reports, manage phone inquiries, and provide backup support for Medical Records.
