PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESOPONSIBILITIES <ol> <li>Leads a team of compliance testing analysts in planning, executing, and reporting the results of regulation-based compliance testing. </li> <li>Provides guidance to staff regarding complex compliance issues.</li> <li>Evaluates team member performance through quality assurance reviews, performance evaluations and coaching.</li> <li>Fosters a positive work environment focused on developing individual team member skills through learning and growth opportunities.</li> <li>Maintains a Compliance Testing Program, procedures and processes to ensure compliance testing activities are performed consistently and with high quality.</li> <li>Maintains a risk-based regulatory compliance testing schedule.</li> <li>Updates the Bank’s testing strategy and schedule as warranted by regulatory or business changes. Maintains knowledge of changes through partnership with business stakeholders and compliance team members.</li> <li>Forms strong relationships with key first line of defense and second line of defense partners.</li> <li>Develops a strong understanding of business processes and controls to identify regulatory risk exposure.</li> <li>Reviews test workpapers, reports, and recommendations to ensure team members help stakeholders understand any issues identified.</li> <li>Delivers and explains difficult messages, when necessary.</li> <li>Summarizes testing results and prepares reports with sufficient detail to help Senior Management understand any issues noted and action plans to address weaknesses.</li> <li>Provides reports to Senior Management and the Board on overall testing results and trends.</li> <li>Provides periodic status reporting to the various Management and Board-level governance committees.</li> <li>Serves as resource for internal and external compliance inquiries, conducting research and providing support/guidance as necessary.</li> <li>Participates in any third party (OCC, VISA, etc.) audit requests pertaining to compliance.</li> <li>Leads special projects and initiatives as assigned.</li> </ol> <h2>Qualifications</h2> EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience, required.</li> <li>5-7 years’ experience in banking industry, required.</li> <li>CRCM certification, preferred.</li> </ul> KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES <ul> <li>Ability to work in a fast paced and rapidly evolving market.</li> <li>Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills, with the ability to solve problems and make decisions using data.</li> <li>Knowledge of existing and emerging bank regulations.</li> <li>Knowledge of audit processes and compliance with required reporting. </li> <li>Ability to analyze compliance procedures and standards.</li> </ul>
