<h3> <a href="#"></a>Job Summary </h3> The Accounting Associate II is primarily responsible for processing journal entries, along with providing backup support to cash applications, project setup, and project change orders. <h3> <a href="#"></a>Essential Functions </h3> <ul> <li> <a href="#"></a> Actively support the Company’s commitment to safety and its “Core Values.”</li> <li>Represent the Company at all times with high moral standards while adhering to the Company’s “Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.”</li> <li>Enter, process, file, index, and maintain journal entries in Penta.</li> <li>Provide backup support to:</li> <li>Cash Applications, including processing cash receipts for all divisions and operating units, consisting of wire transfers, ACH deposit, lockbox deposits and electronic checks.</li> <li>Obtain an understanding to accurately setup new projects based on OU (LS, T&amp;M, AIA &amp; Parent/Child) and cost code structures in relation to project tracking and the customer’s invoicing requirements.</li> <li>Enter project Change Orders in Penta System and ensure all estimates are uploaded accurately for approved Change Orders that follows Delegation of Authority (DOA).</li> <li>Close jobs and re-open jobs when requested in Penta.</li> <li>Timely and accurately setup customers and vendors into accounting system.</li> <li>Setup new vendors in Penta. Ensure that proper information has been submitted on setup form from procurement along with a W-9 and the Related Party Disclosure, if applicable.</li> <li>Provide second verification for banking information for vendors.</li> <li>Communicate effectively with all levels of positions including internal and external customers while also providing requested documentation and reports.</li> <li>Participate in archiving, records retention, and audit support.</li> <li>Perform additional responsibilities, as directed, which would include supporting or serving as the lead on identified special accounting projects.</li> </ul> <h3> Qualifications </h3> <ul> <li>2+ years’ experience in general accounting, accounts receivable, or accounts payable required.</li> <li>Strong ten-key by touch skills required.</li> <li>Construction industry experience preferred.</li> <li>Demonstrated knowledge of accounting procedures.</li> <li>Computer proficiency, including Excel, Outlook; experience with PENTA a plus.</li> <li>Excellent organizational, oral, and written communication skills required; must be a self-motivated individual.</li> <li>Detail oriented; must have the ability to prioritize work, analyze information, identify discrepancies, and meet deadlines.</li> <li>Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.</li> <li>Strong customer service mindset and approach to business.</li> </ul> Full-time employees are offered a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental and vision plans covering eligible employees and dependents, disability benefits, life and AD&amp;D insurance, an employee assistance program (EAP), a 401(k) plan with company match, an employee stock purchase plan (ESPP), a robust wellness program and adoption assistance.
