Position Overview

Sr. Manager of Corporate Partnerships reporting to the Managing Director of Development, is responsible for driving sustainable funding and engaging corporate partnerships to achieve City Year Tulsa’s annual fundraising goals. This person will serve on a Development team to support a growing organization with a private sector revenue goal of over $4 million for the school year. The successful candidate will have experience building transformational relationships through diligent outreach and follow-up, effective written and oral communication skills, and a proven track record of meeting and exceeding goals associated with closing significant renewal and new sponsorships.

Job Description

  • Sr. Manager of Corporate Partnerships will:

  • Donor Engagement (60%)

  • Collaborate with the Executive Director and Development Director to strategize, set, communicate, and implement plans, processes, and goals around corporate fundraising.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for corporate donors; Develop strong relationships with corporate partners and prospects, keep apprised of their business and CSR commitments and identify partnership growth opportunities

  • Ensure clear and consistent communication and collaboration with colleagues at the site and national level to engage them on corporate partnership prospects

  • Communicate and encourage engagement and participation in City Year events, webinars and initiatives for new potential national prospects; Coordinate engagement opportunities (e.g., school visits) to gain insight into City Year service

  • Serve as the lead and seamlessly integrate City Year staff engagement to identify the points of alignment with the philanthropic commitment of the partner prospect.

  • Lead the concept development for the pitch with the goal to sell new sponsorships, maintaining/elevating current partnerships, and increasing the number of multi-year commitments

  • Lead strategy to maintain and track a strategic moves management plan to direct and monitor the progress of donor relationships in CRM (CYchannel/Salesforce)

  • Execute donor engagement strategy to highest level of success. This includes but is not limited to monthly touch points all of which will be recorded in City Years CRM system (Salesforce).

  • Implement with fidelity a high-quality stewardship program that engages, recognizes, and thanks supporters, strengthening their relationship with the organization.

  • Leverage the Executive Director, other senior City Year staff to deepen and solidify donor relationships.

  • Manage scheduling and preparation of all school tours in order to develop or advance relationships with prospective and current stakeholders.

  • Grant Management (20%)

  • Ensure that all grants and grant reports are submitted on time and reviewed by Managing Director of Development or Executive Director before submission

  • Partner with Regional Grant writer to deliver grant proposals and reports for funders and track progress in CRM (CYChannel/Salesforce)

  • Collaborate with other departments to conduct grant compliance reporting to donors in a timely fashion

  • Research, write, and create grant proposals, letters, presentations, sales collateral, and reports for existing and potential corporate partners

  • Prospecting (10%)

  • Work to broaden donor base by prospecting, identifying, and cultivating new donors, ensuring diversity and sustainability of site donor base.

  • Identify target renewal and upsell list based on previous funders

  • Manage process of strategy and approval with Managing Development Director

  • Work with the Development Team to research and power map top prospects.

  • Contribute to and participate in regular donor pipeline meetings and the site board’s Development Committee

  • Organizational Initiatives & Site Support (10%)

  • Work closely with fellow Development team members to understand priorities and business goals and develop strategies to meet the team’s needs.

  • Collaborate with Development team on an effective marketing strategy that helps the organization reach its goals around donor engagement

  • Identify opportunities to help drive corps member recruitment efforts and support for AmeriCorps

  • Work closely with all departments to ensure external communication and stakeholder engagement are consistent and effective

  • Collaborate with other City Year Tulsa departments (RAD, Impact, Service) to ensure that site-wide goals are met, as requested
