City Year is a nonprofit organization that recruits young adults for a year of community service in schools across 29 U.S. cities, as well as in South Africa and the UK. The organization focuses on supporting students' social, emotional, and academic development, aiming to create equitable learning environments. City Year Ameri Corps members serve as student success coaches, helping to improve graduation rates and academic performance. With over 3,000 members, City Year has a significant impact on educational equity and community engagement, positioning itself as a leader in the nonprofit sector dedicated to youth development and educational support.
