Crusoe Cloud is a managed cloud services platform powered by stranded energy that enables climate-friendly innovation in computationally intensive fields including artificial intelligence, graphics rendering and computational biology.About the Role: The mechanical engineer is responsible for the layout, design, and integration of mechanical systems into drawings of custom power and electrical products for manufacture.A day in the life:<ul> <li>Ensure fabrication and assembly adheres to project and customer specifications, engineering standard policies, company practices &amp; procedures</li> <li>Design modular buildings, metal enclosures, specification sheets, general arrangements, bill of materials, assembly, and other fabrication documents</li> <li>Responsible for proper/timely processing of shop drawings, product submittals, operation and maintenance manuals, and recording all as-built drawings</li> <li>Confirm accuracy of project materials quoted to customers, including the review of vendor bid packages and submittals for technical accuracy. </li> <li>Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement</li> <li>Work with the Production, Procurement, Project Management and Sales teams on continuous improvement opportunities</li> <li>Collaborate with other disciplines to integrate all equipment into project designs</li> <li>Design and execute continuous improvement projects to increase workflow efficiency</li> <li>Mentor and peer review other mechanical engineers and designers </li> </ul>You will thrive in this role if:<ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Manufacturing with 1-3 years of experience</li> <li>Preferred disciplines are Mechanical/Process and Electrical</li> <li>Experience in building design of Power Distribution Centers and Data Centers, as well as metal structures &amp; electrical enclosures</li> <li>Demonstrates a high degree of creativity, foresight and mature judgment in planning, organizing and guiding extensive programs and activities of importance</li> <li>High-level analytical ability and decision making</li> <li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills</li> <li>Proficient with 3D modeling software, specifically AutoCAD Inventor, as well as Microsoft Office and Google Suite</li> <li>Knowledge of metals and materials used for fabrication</li> <li>Experience in using Material requirements planning (MRP) software</li> <li>Familiar with air flow and fluid flow calculations, as well as heat/gain loss in HVAC systems</li> <li>Familiar with building codes, energy codes, and compliance checks is a plus</li> <li>Requires lift, lower, push and pull all sizes of merchandise up to 50 lbs</li> <li>Requires the ability to stand, walk, stoop, &amp; bend for 8 hours or more daily</li> <li>Requires constant use of arms, hands, fingers, eyes, legs, and back</li> <li>Must be detail oriented</li> <li>Must be a team player willing to take on additional roles as needed</li> <li>Have a good attitude and willingness to learn</li> <li>Willing to take a background and drug test</li> </ul> Benefits<ul> <li>Industry competitive pay</li> <li>Stock options in a fast growing, well-funded technology company</li> <li>Health insurance package options that include HDHP and PPO, vision, and dental for you and your dependents</li> <li>Paid Parental Leave</li> <li>Paid life insurance, short-term and long-term disability</li> <li>Teladoc</li> <li>401(k) with a 100% match up to 4% of salary</li> <li>Unlimited time off</li> <li>Cell phone reimbursement</li> <li>Tuition reimbursement</li> <li>Subscription to the Calm app</li> <li>Company paid commuter benefit; $100 per month</li> </ul> Compensation<ul><li>Base compensation will be paid in the range of $80,000 - $120,000.
