This role will work under the general supervision of the Coinbase Head of Treasury Operations. What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties): As a Director in Treasury Operations, your responsibilities will include: <ul> <li>Strategic Liquidity Management:</li> <ul> <li>Design and execute a comprehensive liquidity management strategy to optimize cash flow and ensure sufficient reserves.</li> <li>Develop an optimal structure of banking partners to support Coinbase growth leveraging innovative product offerings and technologies.</li> <li>Establish optimal structures, forecasting and processes for intercompany capital funding </li> <li>Monitor and forecast liquidity requirements, managing short- and long-term funding strategies.</li> </ul> <li>Regulatory Compliance:</li> <ul> <li>Ensure compliance with global regulations, including AML, KYC, safeguarding and other financial reporting requirements.</li> <li>Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to adapt treasury operations to evolving regulatory landscapes.</li> </ul> <li>Integrating Risk Management:</li> <ul> <li>Develop and enforce robust risk management frameworks for liquidity, FX, corporate insurance and digital asset exposure.</li> <li>Ensure alignment of treasury policies with the broader risk management strategy.</li> </ul> <li>Maximizing Returns on Investments:</li> <ul> <li>Evaluate and implement strategies for cash and digital asset investments to maximize returns while managing risk effectively.</li> <li>Drive innovation in treasury operations by leveraging new tools, technologies, and market opportunities.</li> </ul> <li>Automating Manual Workflows:</li> <ul> <li>Identify inefficiencies in current treasury processes and implement automation solutions to improve accuracy and reduce manual effort.</li> <li>Partner with technology teams to build and integrate seamless workflows.</li> </ul> <li>Enabling Product Strategy:</li> <ul> <li>Align treasury strategy with the company’s product roadmap, enabling seamless integrations and ensuring financial scalability.</li> <li>Provide Treasury support to product launches including payment integrations, new banks partnerships, stablecoins, system changes</li> </ul> </ul> What we look for in you (ie. job requirements): To excel in this role, you should have: <ul> <li> Experience in Treasury Leadership: <ul> <li>15+ years of experience in treasury, finance, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.</li> <li>Proven success in managing liquidity, investment portfolios, and financial risk in fast-paced, global, high-growth organizations.</li> <li>Fluent in highly complex intercompany capital and funding structures across a global corporation</li> <li>Understanding of and relationships with key participants in the global financial ecosystem e.g. banking institutions, payment service providers, technology solution providers</li> </ul> </li> <li> Strategic Vision and Execution: <ul> <li>Ability to set a clear vision for the treasury function and deliver on key objectives.</li> <li>Track record of implementing automation and efficiency initiatives.</li> <li>Familiarity with the most advanced treasury management systems (TMS) and other financial automation tools.</li> <li>Must be a self-starter, have attention to detail, possess strong prioritization and organization skills and be able to work in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple projects simultaneously</li> </ul> </li> <li> Collaboration and Leadership: <ul> <li>Exceptional interpersonal skills to work cross-functionally with teams like Product, Legal, Compliance, and Technology.</li> <li>Must have highly effective verbal, written, and presentation skills to articulate ideas and plans clearly, accurately, and effectively with all levels of internal and external audiences</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to influence executive team stakeholders</li> </ul> </li> <li> Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: <ul> <li>Expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and data-driven decision-making.</li> <li>A proactive approach to identifying risks and opportunities.</li> </ul> </li> </ul> Nice to haves: While not required, the following qualifications and experiences would be a strong plus: <ul> <li>Technical Expertise in Crypto with an understanding of cryptocurrencies, blockchain technology, and decentralized finance (DeFi) with familiarity with managing digital assets in treasury operations.</li> <li>Experience working with or in fintech, crypto, or blockchain companies.</li> <li>Professional certifications such as CFA, CTP, or CPA.</li> <li>Advanced degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.</li> <li>Knowledge of and experience complying with global regulatory frameworks and compliance.</li> </ul> Job #: P68125 Pay Transparency Notice: Depending on your work location, the target annual salary for this position can range as detailed below.
