Essential Job Functions<ul> <li>Monitor County building for existing or potential problems.</li> <li>Responsible for maintenance and repair of buildings.</li> <li>Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and county directives related to building operations and work safety.</li> <li>Perform carpet and tile work; repair desks and chairs; window repair and replacement, repair door locks, closers and hardware, hang or mount TV’s, dry-erase boards, etc.</li> <li>Request equipment and supplies to ensure adequate inventory and availability of items to complete installation and/or repair work orders.</li> <li>Transport tools, equipment and supplies to job site.</li> <li>Inform personnel regarding procedures and/or status of work orders.</li> <li>Take appropriate action and/or comply with building and safety regulations.</li> <li>Maintain vehicles, tools and equipment.</li> <li>Prepare work orders, repair status and activity logs.</li> <li>Oversee and inspect the work performance by outside contractors.</li> <li>Inspect work in progress and complete work to determine conformance with codes.</li> <li>Review assigned work orders.</li> <li>Estimate time and materials needed to complete repair.</li> <li>Respond quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed.</li> <li>Maintain safe working conditions; identify and correct or report unsafe conditions in work areas.</li> <li>Perform snow removal, sand bagging and cleaning of properties</li> </ul><h1>Additional Job Description</h1>Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.Mathematical Skills Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumferences, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.Reasoning Ability Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
