Using the Maintenance Management System for labor and parts standards, this position is responsible for reviewing all work completed and work exceptions to ensure charges are in accordance with the system guidelines and approve if appropriate. Will also review and approve all repairs and repair orders for work to be completed on trucks and towing equipment. Ensure all unassigned work has been approved and assigned to the appropriate provider within the territory. Reporting to the Senior Director, Accounting, this role will lead the Company’s Financial Reporting function and be an integral component of Finance’s risk management and reporting process, driving consistent application of accounting policy and financial reporting across the company. This is a critical and high-profile position that will play a crucial role in financial reporting and other statutory and regulatory filings. What You'll Be Doing (i.e., Job Duties) <ul> <li>Lead the preparation of all quarterly and annual filings with the SEC, in accordance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations, including preparation of monthly balance sheets, income statements and quarterly statements of stockholders’ equity and preparation of disclosures.</li> <li>Assist in coordinating the review and approval of quarterly and annual SEC filings by all relevant parties, including the Disclosure Committee, Audit and Compliance Committee, external auditors, and internal and external legal counsel.</li> <li>Support Investor Relations through tie out and other quality assurance review of their externally published materials, and prepare and file the earnings release 8-K.</li> <li>Prepare the accounting/finance portion of quarterly Disclosure Committee and Audit Committee decks and present at the Disclosure Committee meeting.</li> <li>Lead the Maintain SEC reporting calendar and project manage the SEC reporting process to conform to this calendar, efficiently and effectively coordinating across teams.</li> <li>Coordinate with accounting policy on new accounting standards issued by the FASB and accounting and reporting guidance issued by the SEC to determine the impact to the company’s disclosures, including writing position papers as needed.</li> <li>Support management in completing special projects as assigned and be a financial reporting resource for ad-hoc questions and initiatives.</li> <li>Responsible for the coaching, mentoring and management of the SEC reporting team, including across multiple time zones in a mostly asynchronous environment.</li> <li>Ensure SEC reporting processes and disclosures represent best practices, recommending and assisting in the implementation of disclosure and process improvements as appropriate, including simplifying, standardizing, and streamline processes.</li> <li>Perform financial reporting controls, including clear documentation of work/review performed.</li> </ul> What We Look For In You (ie. Job Requirements): <ul> <li>Strong accounting background with a thorough knowledge of US GAAP, SOX 404 and SEC financial reporting standards.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to research complex and vague accounting and disclosure rules and clearly and efficiently document related conclusions.</li> <li>Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience.
