Reporting to the SAP Finance Senior Manager, the SAP Finance Business Analyst (FICO/RTR) is experienced with at least 5 years of experience implementing SAP RTR/FICO to solve complex business issues. In this role you will analyze and optimize financial processes in the RTR process area. You will bring strong communication skills which are required to collaboratively progress cross-functional items with other SAP module based workstreams. This position requires consultative skills to partner well with business stakeholders at all levels in the organization to both understand the business requirements and to deliver scalable solutions compliant with AMETEK policy, financial regulations, and internal controls. This role also requires staying current on SAP best practices and emerging technologies. How You Will Make An Impact: Key Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Delivers implementation and support of SAP FICO modules and related boundary systems (Banking, External Tax, Vendor Invoice Management, etc.) while ensuring alignment with AMETEK business requirements. </li> <li>Multi-project lifecycle experience in independently delivering complete solutions at least two of the following areas is preferred: Fixed Assets, Banking, Product Costing, or Revenue Recognition (RAR) </li> <li>Maps current processes to the desired state and identifies gaps while addressing input/output requirements, data conversion strategies, and system / process controls.</li> <li>Manages end to end project/software development lifecycle deliverables as assigned, including requirement gathering, design, build, testing, training, and production support.</li> <li>Transforms business requirements into technical specifications, including detailed design with data and security considerations, while using a structured approach to describe configuration, program development, logic coding and corrections.</li> <li>Works with software developers to ensure understanding of requirements and complete documentation.</li> <li>Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members and peers.</li> </ul> IT Policies and Regulatory Compliance: <ul> <li>Develops and maintains system and business process documentation.</li> <li>Provides end-user notification and training for new or changed system functionality either in person, through documentation, or through web-based training.</li> <li>Works within an agile framework to facilitate development teams consistently delivering business value in an environment with rapidly growing business needs.</li> <li>Applies business and technology expertise to improve business processes and support critical system strategies across technology stacks.</li> <li>Ensure solutions comply with IT policies, procedures, and regulatory controls, including but not limited to SOX, general IT controls related to auditing, monitoring, approvals, and validation consistent with U.S.</li> <li>Adheres to relevant regulations, company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments.</li> </ul> Team Development Attributes: <ul> <li>Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.</li> <li>Keeps informed of trends and new developments in technology to better advise management of means to accomplish business and information systems goals.</li> <li>Aides junior team members in communication with business users when needed.</li> <li>Aides junior team members in handling more technically complex systems and designs and communicating those to development teams.</li> <li>Career Development of others: Assist in the career development of less experienced analysts. </li> <li> Performs other related duties and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned. </li> </ul> What You Will Bring To The Role: <ul> <li>Bachelor’s Degree with at least 5+ years of SAP FICO experience is preferred.</li> <li>At least two complete project life cycles implementing SAP in a complex, global organization is preferred. </li> <li>Ability to work with business users to identify, organize, and prioritize business needs.</li> <li>Ability to clearly communicate business needs to development teams in an organized and timely manner.</li> <li>Ability to stay focused on delivering business value in an environment with dynamic needs.</li> <li>Ability to communicate complex functional design ideas verbally, in writing, and via design mock-ups.</li> <li>Understanding of software quality assurance principles and activities.</li> <li>Knowledge of Business Intelligence, Reporting, and related tools.</li> <li>Strong professional verbal and written communication skills.</li> <li>Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.</li> <li>Able to multi-task, prioritize, and complete work in a timely manner.</li> <li>The ability to travel for Software Development Lifecycle Project Work is required.
