The Senior Accountant will support our International Operations and may also be involved with more complex issues by utilizing enhanced analytical or accounting skills.</p><p>Work Type: Remote<br>Location: Tulsa, OK <br> </p><p>This position is expected to be filled in the greater Tulsa, Oklahoma area.</p><p>What you will do: </p><ul> <li><p>Supporting the period, quarter, and year-end financial reporting process</p></li> <li><p>Preparing journal entries</p></li> <li><p>Preparing working trials for multiple companies</p></li> <li><p>Preparing reconciliations of accounts, actively investigating reconciling items to resolve timely</p></li> <li><p>Performing analytical assignments and preparing accounting reports</p></li> <li><p>Assisting with internal and external audits ensuring all schedules, requests and aspects of the audits are addressed in a timely and appropriate manner</p></li> <li><p>Maintaining records for accounting transactions</p></li> <li><p>Contributing to the company’s efforts to comply with the requirements of Sarbanes Oxley while ensuring compliance and adherence with controls for internal policies and external regulations</p></li> <li><p>Participating in the identification and implementation of improvements to accounting processes</p></li> <li><p>Various ad-hoc projects as assigned by supervisor or manager</p></li> </ul><p>What you need:</p><ul> <li><p>Bachelor's or higher degree in Accounting</p></li> <li><p>3-4 years of Accounting experience</p></li> <li><p>CPA or CPA track</p></li> <li><p>Strong analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail</p></li> <li><p>Familiarity with financial accounting statements</p></li> <li><p>Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures</p></li> <li><p>Ensure compliance with GAAP principles</p></li> <li><p>Experience with general ledger function and the monthly/yearly closing process</p></li> <li><p>Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills</p></li> <li><p>Advanced MS Excel skills including pivot tables and Vlookups</p></li> <li><p>Excellent interpersonal and professional skills</p></li> <li><p>Self-motivated</p></li> <li><p>Excellent organizational skills in order to manage multiple tasks</p></li> <li><p>Working knowledge of ERP systems like Oracle</p></li> <li><p>Experience working with or within a public company with SEC reporting and SOX control requirements<br> </p></li> </ul><p>Not a must, but a plus</p><ul> <li><p>Public accounting experience (Big Four a plus)</p></li> <li><p>Spanish proficiency a plus</p></li> <li><p>Experience with Alteryx or Microsoft Power Suite</p></li> <li><p>Experience in the oil field service industry</p></li> </ul> <p>What we offer:</p> <p>At H&amp;P, our commitment to our people is at the forefront, and that includes benefits that provide employees a sense of health and financial security.
