Work Location: This is a fully virtual remote and does not require candidates to be within a commutable distance to a MetLife office. However, should the candidate reside near a ML Hub, they are welcome to work in a hybrid work arrangement. In addition, there is a strong preference for candidates in the Cary or Charlotte area.

The Team You Will Join

People Planning & Insights (PP&I) is a strategic Center of Excellence within the Human Resource organization and is responsible for people analytics, employee listening, strategic workforce planning and public-facing workforce reporting for the Enterprise. The PP&I team enables Human Resources and business leaders to make informed, fact-based people decisions by providing real-time access to metrics, delivering in-depth analysis leveraging predictive and descriptive analytics, conducting research and hypothesis testing, and consulting our partners to drive strategic initiatives and improve organizational outcomes.

The Opportunity

The Workforce Reporting Lead will oversee and manage public-facing reporting of workforce metrics with a focus on Sustainability reporting and other ESG requirements such as Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand reporting requirements, define metrics, gather and analyze data and manage reporting documentation while ensuring accurate and timely reporting that follows all applicable regulations and policies. This role will lead work related to public-facing workforce reporting and will collaborate with global and local HR, Finance, Sustainability, Audit, and other departments to ensure data accuracy and integrity.

How You’ll Help Us Build a Confident Future (Key Responsibilities)

  • Provide guidance and consultation to cross functional teams ensuring MetLife is providing workforce metrics aligned with reporting requirements.
  • Maintain detailed records of all reporting activities, including methodologies, data sources, and key decisions. Ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and easily accessible for audit purposes.
  • Lead the preparation, documentation and submission of workforce-related reports ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all regulatory reports.
  • Monitor changes in requirements related to workforce data and implement necessary adjustments to reporting processes.
  • Develop and maintain reporting tools and templates to streamline the reporting process.
  • Work with internal and external auditors and other relevant parties as needed.
  • Continuously review and improve reporting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members on regulatory reporting requirements.

What You Need to Succeed (Required Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in workforce reporting, data management, or a related role within HR, Finance, ESG or related areas.
  • Experience with CSRD, ESG or 10k reporting or familiarity with other public-facing reporting activity.
  • Sound judgement and solution-minded creativity to address emerging trends and issues quickly and effectively.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, SQL) and HR information systems (HRIS).
  • Be proactive and influential to deal with rapid changes, and capable of handling multiple and competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.
  • High ethical standards and commitment to confidentiality and data privacy.
