Job Description:

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for all warehouse duties including pulling orders, staging, replenishing inventory, labeling, building kits, receiving, assisting with customer pick-ups, working with Program Coordinators for internal program needs, overall safety and cleanliness of the warehouse.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure safety and quality are top priority
  • Must work well with others and succeed in a team environment
  • Prepares refrigerated and frozen orders for distribution
  • Handles program purchase invoices and collaborates with internal stakeholders
  • Maintains CERES inputs and cycle counts
  • Provides intake support for new vendors/producers or vendors/producers for Farm to Table Program
  • Adhere to food safety regulations
  • Daily cleaning, organization and date labeling
  • Remove spoiled product and clean coolers
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager

Qualifications

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess many of these professional and personal abilities and attributes:

  • A combination of education and experience generally attained through a high school diploma, GED or technical education and prior experience in a warehouse and distribution environment.
  • Must be able to obtain a forklift certification
  • Ability to work with flexibility, efficiency and enthusiasm, both individually and as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and ability to resolve problems
  • Must be able to use a computer and hand-held scanner, and operate all warehouse equipment safely
  • Must be able to use office equipment
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, manage and follow through on multiple daily tasks and projects.
  • Leadership, diplomacy, interpersonal skills
