Job Description:
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for all warehouse duties including pulling orders, staging, replenishing inventory, labeling, building kits, receiving, assisting with customer pick-ups, working with Program Coordinators for internal program needs, overall safety and cleanliness of the warehouse.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensure safety and quality are top priority
- Must work well with others and succeed in a team environment
- Prepares refrigerated and frozen orders for distribution
- Handles program purchase invoices and collaborates with internal stakeholders
- Maintains CERES inputs and cycle counts
- Provides intake support for new vendors/producers or vendors/producers for Farm to Table Program
- Adhere to food safety regulations
- Daily cleaning, organization and date labeling
- Remove spoiled product and clean coolers
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager
Qualifications
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess many of these professional and personal abilities and attributes:
- A combination of education and experience generally attained through a high school diploma, GED or technical education and prior experience in a warehouse and distribution environment.
- Must be able to obtain a forklift certification
- Ability to work with flexibility, efficiency and enthusiasm, both individually and as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and ability to resolve problems
- Must be able to use a computer and hand-held scanner, and operate all warehouse equipment safely
- Must be able to use office equipment
- Demonstrated ability to plan, manage and follow through on multiple daily tasks and projects.
- Leadership, diplomacy, interpersonal skills
