The Vice President of Sales and Technical Services is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, managing market positioning, and driving growth in the IOU division. This executive leadership role ensures profitable operations, fosters strong client relationships, and provides technical leadership to both the sales team and customers. This is a safety sensitive position. This position will report to the COO.


Primary Responsibilities:

· Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve company objectives and revenue targets.

· Establish pricing strategies to maximize long-term market share and profitability.

· Direct the implementation of sales policies and practices, ensuring adherence to company standards.

· Conduct and oversee market research, adjusting strategies to address industry and competitive trends.

· Lead the introduction of new products, including financial justification and market development initiatives.

· Monitor and respond to competitor activities, adjusting sales and marketing approaches accordingly.

· Build and maintain relationships with industry influencers, strategic partners, and key clients.

· Set performance goals, oversee sales forecasting, and manage sales channel development.

· Represent the company at industry events and trade association meetings to promote products.

· Support the sales team in maintaining client relationships and negotiating contracts.

· Oversee lubrication training programs, plant lubrication surveys, and oil analysis interpretation for customers and staff.

· Recruit, train, and evaluate the sales team to ensure optimal performance and development.

Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Sales and Marketing, or related field. Master's degree highly preferred.

· Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales and technical roles in lubricants or related industry.

· Proven track record of leading successful sales teams and driving revenue growth.

· Excellent leadership, communication, and customer management skills.

· Strong technical knowledge of lubricant products and their applications.

· Lubricant industry certifications would be a plus: ICML (MLA or MLT), STLE (CLS, CMFS, OMA) or NLGI (CLGS)
