The Opportunity
The Third-Party Activation team sits in Group Business and is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with Benefits Administrators and Human Capital Management Partners. The team is dedicated to nurturing those key strategic relationships, and focuses on implementing data sharing strategies, including API solutions, which will make it easier for them to do business with MetLife. The integration manager will report to the Third-Party Activation AVP, and will work with leaders in the business, Information Technology, and external third-party teams to manage the integration of new API capabilities that we bring to market.
The Integration Manager is responsible for defining business requirements, creating project plans, prioritizing IT development efforts, and creating operational engineering/alignment with third party platforms. We have seen tremendous growth in this category and need someone who is familiar with this ecosystem to help us achieve our integration goals. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys project management with external partners, builds strong relationships, and enjoys the energy of a fast-paced environment.
Success in this role requires strong project leadership skills, advanced knowledge of business functions, and experience in the group insurance industry. The role requires collaboration with internal and external partners, maintaining clear communication, and translating strategic vision into actionable deliverables.
This individual will lead API integration projects with our third-party partners from facilitation of discovery and development through Go Live. They will identify implementation and service impacts for the new API that we are developing. They will also foster the relationship with the third party and be their single point of contact on connectivity until we move the project to production and are generally available with the capability. They will develop project plans across the different project workstreams – API Development, operational Readiness, Pilot. They will lead project governance and will develop action items, deliverables, identify and communicate dependencies, and escalate issues needing leadership resolution.
