Overview
Produce world-class HT&P technical training programs for internal HT&P technicians, mechanics, and other staff as well as external customers.
Responsibilities
Training delivery (50%)
• Provides technical training to newly hired technician trainees,
• Continues with periodic trainings through the Master Technician certification process,
• Conducts training sessions in accordance with established standards to ensure that
effective trainings are provided in a consistent and efficient manner,
• Provides technical training for customers’ technicians both at TDW and on-site at customer
location,
• Travels to customer locations and serves as a resource for further questions once training
has concluded,
• Works in a team with other trainers to develop and deliver a training program for
Mechanics,
• Provides training classes with an introduction to HT&P operations for TDW salesmen and
engineers,
• Ensures training classes comply with all Health, Safety and Environment requirements, and
presents a positive HSE attitude to customers and students;
TDW technicians’ certification (25%)
• Conducts performance evaluations in compliance with DOT regulations.
• Builds and maintains a mentoring relationship with trainees for the purpose of reinforcing
training,
• Certifies field coaches and field auditors who complete and evaluate on-the-job training,
Provides assistance with technical problems encountered on HT&P jobs, a source of
support for a new or developing technician,
• Conducts periodic audit of technician's work and identifies areas for improvement, reviews
technical field reports for completeness, and determines training needs and ensures
training is completed in a timely manner;
Reporting (15%)
• Reviews training records and work history for HT&P technicians and ensures all records
are current and that each training is properly recorded,
• Prepares follow-up reports for all training classes and reviews evaluations for ways to
improve classes,
• Submits expense reports, training reports, audit reports and job records in a timely
manner,
• Assists in designing training sessions that meet industry and TDW requirements and reevaluates these sessions on an on-going basis to discover areas for improvement
(including reading HT&P data to build presentations and tests);
HT&P Technical Work (5%)
• Lead/perform HT&P jobs, working in the field as needed
• Perform maintenance and repair work in the shop or in the field as needed
New products development (5%)
• Assists in new product and service testing to determine the viability of that product or
service.
Experience
• High school graduate or equivalent,
• Strong technical and interpersonal skills,
• A minimum of 2 years field operation experience with TDW HT & P equipment strongly
preferred,
• Experience working as a mechanic strongly preferred,
• Fluent in English is required,
• Travel from 10% to 40%.
