Technical Animator - Remote Available
Job Description
SUMMARY
Operate motion and performance capture software for productions within the studio. Create skeletal and control rigs for use in animated media including XR Productions, animations, and real-time engines. Work with other team members in an agile development environment to assess the needs of animation and XR productions and troubleshoot solutions. Develop animation workflows and tools to integrate into and improve upon existing studio development pipelines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Includes the following:
• Operates motion and performance capture systems on set for XR and animation productions.
• Processes and cleans motion and performance capture data post-production.
• Creates a variety of skeletal, retarget, blend shape, and control rigs for use in animated productions.
• Implements and processes animations into a real-time engine for both streaming and post-processed animations.
• Develops animation logic systems within a real-time engine for use with interactive characters and environments.
• Collaborates with team members to Innovate workflows and tools for integration into current studio XR and animation pipelines.
• Participates in XR crew workload, functioning in an agile development environment to assess the animation needs of projects and troubleshoot solutions.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

No supervisory/management authority.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 1 to 2 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Macintosh products.
• Working knowledge of the latest motion and performance capture workflows, technologies, and trends for film and interactive entertainment.
• Working knowledge of skeletal rigging for digital characters and assets.
• Working knowledge of Unreal Engine, animation blueprints, and real-time engines.
• Advanced knowledge of 3D Animation, motion, and performance capture software applications.
• Excellent written, communication, presentation, and computer skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems and review information in order to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
• Ability to identify alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
• Ability to prioritize work and successfully meet deadlines within an agile development team.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is primarily performed in a climate-controlled office setting.
Position open to remote or onsite in Owasso, OK.
