We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Technical Analyst II to join our Payments Wires team. The successful candidate will analyze, troubleshoot, and implement technical solutions to support our payment and wire transfer operations. Knowledge and understanding of payment processing, settlements, and related financial systems.
Job Description
The Technical Analyst II is responsible for delivering superior services acting as a liaison between the line of business and IT with a focus on end user experience such as user interfacing, user flow, data flow, and/or other UI/UX strategies. Defining and performing analysis, design, programming, planning, implementation, and supporting moderate to complex systems software and procedures with a focus on our long term technology road map which require technical and systems knowledge. Manages plans, organizes, and controls projects which have an organizational impact as well as provides day-to-day support for complex applications systems.

How You'll Spend Your Time
• You will analyze and troubleshoot issues related to payment and wire transfer systems.
• You will implement technical solutions to enhance payment processing efficiency and accuracy.
• You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and develop technical specifications.
• You will monitor and maintain payment and wire transfer systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with regulatory standards.
• You will conduct testing and validation of new system features and updates.
• You will provide technical support and training to end-users and stakeholders.
• You will document technical processes, procedures, and system configurations.
• You will stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in payment processing technologies.
Education & Experience Requirements
This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of (a/an) Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science or related field of study and / or 3-5 years of directly related experience in Technical Analysis, Data Analytics, or Bank Operations or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a technical analyst role within the banking industry, preferably in payments or wire transfers.
• Strong knowledge of payment processing systems, wire transfer protocols (e.g., SWIFT, Fedwire), and related technologies.
• Proficiency in SQL, scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, JavaScript), database management, APIs, and data analysis tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the banking industry.
• Ability to monitor transaction flows and detect potential risks.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with Finastra or similar banking software.
• Experience with Jira and agile methodologies.
