JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Windows Server Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in Active Directory, virtualization, and high-level technical support. This role requires a proactive individual who can stand up new systems, troubleshoot complex issues, and provide white-glove tech support to our organization. An ideal candidate will have an advanced knowledge of PowerShell scripting, and automation to drive process improvements for various IT tasks.

Key Responsibilities
Active Directory Management: Administer and maintain Active Directory environments, including user account management, group policies, and security settings.

Process improvement and automation mindset: Create and improve on automation and scripts to take manual load off the team and other IT teams across the organization.

High-Level Technical Support: Provide advanced technical support for IT-related issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to business operations.

White-Glove Tech Support: Deliver exceptional, personalized tech support to application teams in IT, ensuring their technical needs are met with the highest level of service.

System Setup and Configuration: Stand up new systems, including server installations, configurations, and integrations with existing infrastructure.

Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to servers, networks, and applications.

Security and Compliance: Ensure systems are secure and compliant with industry standards and organizational policies.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps. Generate reports on system performance and incidents.

Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Windows Server operating systems.

Strong knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy management.

Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Nutanix).

Advanced troubleshooting skills for server, network, and application issues.

Familiarity with security best practices and compliance standards.

Soft Skills:

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.

This position is eligible for remote work in one of the following states: Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Wisconsin, or Wyoming. This position will require some travel for office meetings, as needed, to our corporate office in Tulsa, OK.

Job Profile Summary

Perform problem management and configuration management related to IT infrastructure and support.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Manage problems which escalate beyond the status of incident. Coordinate the appropriate personnel to troubleshoot and resolve the problem

  • Perform root cause analysis on resolved problems. Design and develop appropriate monitoring or other proactive measures to prevent future occurrences

  • Mentor Tier II staff during problem resolution and root case analysis to increase efficiency and knowledge of Tier II personnel

  • Analyze and document the architecture and configuration of application infrastructure

  • Provide configuration and engineering for new technologies

  • Lead the support and configuration activities for technologies where you have been designated a subject matter expert

  • Complete tasks assigned in order to accomplish approved application and/or infrastructure change controls

  • Collaborate with other IT personnel on technology and support issues

  • Consult with applications and infrastructure personnel on new initiatives and the impacts they will have on infrastructure

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in computer sciences or an equivalent combination of formal education and job-related experience

Work Experience

  • Experience in the support and function of:

    • Infrastructure hardware configuration

    • IP networking

    • Windows Server and/or Unix operating systems

    • Shared storage technologies

    • Virtualization technologies

    • Event monitoring, logging and data collection techniques

  • Training and experience relative to:

    • Operating systems software

    • Computer hardware

    • Networking

    • Communications

    • Security administration

    • Data base administration

  • Experienced interacting with external customers and vendors relationships

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of: current data networking and/or server technologies

  • Ability to: apply arithmetic and computer math

  • Ability to: identify, research, and analyze systems software problems and perform systems evaluations

  • Ability to: review and interpret manuals, journals, computer display screens, computer printouts, error logs, and correspondence

  • Ability to: research, prepare, and compose systems operating procedures and documentation, reports, and correspondence

  • Ability to: interact, advise, guide, train, and communicate effectively

  • Ability to: communicate and/or exchange information; conduct oral presentations
