As the Sr Manager of the SCADA and Pipeline Control Support team, you will partner with others across IT to support our pipeline control team and other related business processes by leading a diverse and talented IT team. This role will be responsible for delivering a reliable technology portfolio, most critically our SCADA environment, while also leading project delivery, continuous improvement, technology road mapping & enhancements, cybersecurity assurance, regulatory compliance, vendor/supplier relations, internal customer service, and employee & team development.

Day In The Life
As the leader of our enterprise SCADA and Pipeline Control Support team and a member of our Operations Technology leadership team within IT, you will join us in supporting Williams' Mission and Core Values. As an IT organization, we will impact Williams’ business performance through positive, inclusive interactions, influencing decisions, innovating with technology, and improving our people, processes, and technologies.
In this role as the Sr Manager of the SCADA and Pipeline Control Support team you will partner with others across IT to support our Pipeline Control team and other related business processes by leading a diverse and talented IT team. This role will have accountability for delivering a reliable technology portfolio, most critically our SCADA environment, for our partners while also leading project delivery, continuous improvement, technology road mapping & enhancements, cybersecurity assurance, regulatory compliance, vendor/supplier relations, internal customer service, and employee & team development.
Responsibilities/Expectations:
- Directs a team of IT professionals, consultants, and service providers supporting enterprise pipeline control teams and business processes
- Builds and maintains positive relationships with internal partners, IT peer groups, business customers, service providers, consultants, and vendors
- Manages a budget and provides cost center oversight to ensure responsible cost management
- Ensures protection from internal and external risks by driving excellence in cyber security strategy and compliance with regulatory and internal requirements
- Delivers projects and implements technology strategies, modernization programs, and enhancements aligned with business roadmaps and IT target architecture
- Other duties as assigned
Education/Years of Experience:
- Required: Bachelor's Degree and 5 (five) years experience in leadership
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in MIS, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Industrial Sciences, or Business and 10 (ten) years experience in Senior Information Technology or Operations Technology leadership, specifically supporting SCADA or similar applications
Other Requirements:
- Demonstrates outstanding organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications
- Understanding of common IT practices, policies, governance, support strategies, and how IT practice areas relate to each other
- Experience with project management fundamentals and delivery approaches
- Understanding of cybersecurity awareness and governance practices, pipeline operations, engineering, and industry fundamentals
- Preferred: SCADA and pipeline control support experience
- Preferred: Agile delivery strategies and processes, Lean / Six Sigma concepts or certifications
- Preferred: Deep understanding of pipeline engineering, operations, automation, measurement, and pipeline control, and commercial concepts in the midstream/gathering & processing or transmission pipeline business
