Position Summary: The Special Education Quality Standards Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the district’s adherence to the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), and other state and federal regulations related to Special Education. The Special Education Quality Standards Coordinator supports the Director of Compliance in monitoring, auditing, and ensuring all special education services and documentation meet legal requirements. This role also involves providing training, guidance, and technical assistance to school-based teams to maintain compliance and improve outcomes for students with disabilities.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree
• Master’s degree preferred
Experience:
• Minimum three (3) years’ teaching experience in special education
• Lead teacher experience preferred
Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, Etc.:
• Possess or ability to obtain and maintain a valid Oklahoma teaching certification in special education
• In-depth knowledge of IDEA and the state adopted record system and associated state regulations
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Office Suite
• Proficient in relevant software tools for data management and documentation
