$5,000 Signing Bonus

SUMMARY:

Design, produce and test electrical and electronic subsystems for training devices and other similar applications that satisfies specified operational, performance, and interface requirements. Responsible for these electrical/electronic tasks within a specified budget and schedule.

SIGNING BONUS:

A $5,000.00 signing bonus will be paid out in two installments: the first installment will be 70% paid at the time of the employee’s first paycheck; the second installment will be 30% paid upon completion of twelve continuous uninterrupted months of employment. All bonuses are subject to local, state, and federal withholdings. In the event that you leave the company within 12 months of your date of hire, you will be responsible for reimbursing the company for the entire 100% of the signing bonus.

*Signing bonuses are not applicable to candidates hired through a third-party hiring agency.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Reviews program specifications and applicable standards with project and systems & software engineers to identify and evaluate interface requirements between the electronic/electrical hardware and other system hardware and software. Defines detail interface requirements for electrical/electronic subsystems consistent with system interfaces and top-level designs.

• Analyzes operational and performance requirements of the overall system and defines candidate detail electrical/electronic system design approaches consistent with these requirements. This includes consideration for power availability, overload protection, noise, EMI, grounding, space availability, safety, latencies, spare requirements, etc.

• Performs value engineering trade studies of candidate detail design solutions to determine the optimum solution given fidelity, quality, schedule, and cost constraints.

• Develops detail electrical/electronic designs via analyses, elaboration and decomposition of top-level interface, operational, and performance requirements. Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment, as appropriate, to perform tasks.

• Performs subsystem test, integration test, acceptance test, and installation of electrical/electronic products. Troubleshoots equipment to identify & solve problems.

• Coordinates with purchasing, fabrication, assembly, and systems testers to ensure product conformance to functional specifications and customer requirements. Identifies and manages risks to avoid unplanned problems and minimize costs.

• End products will consist of proposal inputs, reports, specifications, design documents, manufacturing/production specifications, and test specifications as required for the subject project.

• Perform other related tasks as assigned by supervisor.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelors Degree (B.S.) in engineering/engineering technology, or equivalent; up to 6 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Background must demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the sciences underlying electrical/electronic engineering.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common professional literature. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to management, and colleagues.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to comprehend and calculate ratios and percentages, Ability to comprehend and apply principles of modern algebra.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

Solid Technology skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications are essential. Experienced and proficient in the use of standard personal computer software tools; including word processors, spreadsheets, presentation graphics and databases.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

CITIZENSHIP:

U.S. Citizenship. Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:

Experienced and proficient in the use of standard Personal Computer productivity software tools including word processors, spreadsheets, presentation graphics, project management, and databases.
