SUMMARY
As a key member of the marketing team, the Social Media Coordinator will be instrumental in executing a locally authentic, brand-consistent social media strategy for Specialized Retail locations.

This role will empower retail shop staff by establishing best practices that drive consistent community engagement across social platforms, primarily Instagram and Facebook. The Social Media Coordinator will create and curate authentic, brand-aligned content to foster community growth and increase in-store traffic. Additionally, they will act as the central point of contact for social media support across retail shops and will champion brand and business initiatives through digital engagement.

This position may be fully remote or hybrid depending on your location.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

  • Develop and implement a social media strategy that drives traffic and engagement at retail locations.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for retail teammates and leadership on all social media-related activities.
  • Support the creation and management of a content calendar and oversee national and region-specific campaigns.
  • Manage scheduling and deployment of brand assets across retail accounts using Sprinklr.
  • Create and maintain a Social Media Excellence Playbook to guide store teams toward consistent and effective engagement.
  • Source, curate, and adapt high-quality content from stores and the broader brand for regional and local use.
  • Organize and track credentials for all social media accounts and manage third-party tools such as Canva, Linktree, and Eventbrite.
  • Assist in the creation and editing of visual assets using Adobe Creative Suite, and develop compelling copy for various campaigns.
  • Ensure all new retail locations launch with a strong, brand-aligned social media presence.
  • Analyze social media performance and provide actionable insights and recommendations for continual improvement.

WHAT YOU NEED TO WIN

  • 2+ years of experience managing social media programs across multiple accounts or locations, preferably within the bicycle industry or a related field.
  • Proven ability to create compelling digital content and messaging; proficiency in developing assets for email, social media, and other digital channels.
  • Experience in building and engaging local communities through targeted marketing initiatives.
  • Familiarity with Meta Business Suite and experience running paid social ad campaigns is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and project management skills; exceptional attention to detail; ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • A passion for cycling and community building is a plus!
