Job Description
The Site Reliability Engineer II is primarily responsible for designing, building and maintaining efficient large-scale systems. Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) is an engineering discipline that combines software and systems engineering to build and run large-scale, distributed, fault-tolerant systems. The SRE II ensures that applications have reliability and the appropriate uptime for users' needs with a fast rate of improvement. Maintain application capacity and performance.

How You'll Spend Your Time
- You will help design, implement, and maintain API Gateway solutions using Kong and Spring Boot microservices.
- You will develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployment of API Gateway and microservices.
- You will implement and monitor API observability tools to ensure high availability and performance.
- You will develop and maintain logging and tracing solutions for API requests and responses.
- You will collaborate with development teams to ensure best practices in API design and deployment.
- You will develop and test deployment-related features, identify process gaps, and implement improvements for operational efficiency.
- You will participate in developing tools and processes to enhance product supportability and productivity and improve monitoring for BOKF products.
- You will understand data flows, security requirements, and perform job scheduling tasks including writing and troubleshooting job plans.
- You will triage and troubleshoot escalations, develop batch scripts and stored procedures, and monitor code deployments to detect and resolve issues.
- You will understand project management methodologies, scrum, agile tactics, and organize tasks using the Kanban process with moderate supervision.
Education & Experience Requirements
This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Technology/Science, or a related field and 3-5 years of experience in MIS or related field or an equivalent 7 years of work-related experience.
- Experience in Java, Python, Linux, scripting
- Knowledge of cloud compute technologies, network monitoring, data processing and analytics
- Knowledge of datacenter monitoring, service-oriented systems, micro-services
- Knowledge of networking monitoring, networking protocols, SNMP, syslog, network telemetry, REST API
- Experience in Software Integration Systems e.g., MuleSoft, SSIS, etc.
- Knowledge of moderate to complex technical infrastructure principles e.g., Windows Server, UNIX, Tomcat, IIS. RDBMS principals, Microsoft SQL.
- Exposure to Quality/Testing Methodologies
- Knowledge of disaster recovery application
- Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
- Knowledge of system architecture
- Knowledge of automation pipelines
- Knowledge of CI/CD
