We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Jira Administrator to manage and execute the migration of Jira data and configurations between accounts. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Jira administration, data integrity, and best practices for large-scale platform migration. This role requires hands-on expertise in Jira system management, user support, and issue resolution during migration.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Migration Execution: Perform the migration of Jira projects, issues, workflows, and other configurations between Jira accounts, ensuring smooth data transfer.
  • System Administration: Configure and manage Jira settings, workflows, custom fields, and permissions to align with organizational needs post-migration.
  • Data Integrity: Ensure the accuracy and completeness of migrated data, including mapping of users, roles, and custom fields between accounts.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to minimize disruptions and ensure alignment with business processes.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve technical issues related to migration, such as permission conflicts and configuration discrepancies.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of migration processes, system configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Support: Provide post-migration support to stakeholders, including user training and addressing questions or concerns.


Required Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of Jira administration, including workflows, schemes, and customizations.
  • Experience with cross-account migrations using tools like Jira Cloud Migration Assistant.
  • Strong understanding of Jira Cloud and on-premise environments.
  • Proficiency in using Jira REST APIs for data extraction and migration.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Ability to manage large-scale Jira instances with multiple projects and users.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with additional Atlassian tools (e.g., Confluence, Bitbucket).
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for process automation.
  • Strong communication skills and experience working with cross-departmental teams.
  • Agile certification or experience in Agile methodologies.
