The Senior Program Manager, Marketing Operations will be responsible for analyzing data from various marketing campaigns to assess their effectiveness and optimize future strategies. This person will track key metrics such as conversion rates, click-through rates, and return on investment to identify trends and areas for improvement. By leveraging data-driven insights, they will help drive Apollo’s GTM strategy, maximize our marketing budget, and drive higher levels of prospect engagement and revenue growth.
In addition to the U.S. base salary range, we also provide equity and benefits. Location: This is a remote position that can be done from anywhere in the United States.

What You'll Do
- Scale and Drive Marketing Efficiency
- Lead cross departmental initiatives to align marketing operations with company-wide strategic goals, ensuring scalable systems and processes that drive measurable impact across the business.
- Act as a thought leader within Apollo, providing guidance and insights on marketing operations best practices across departments.
- Advance Apollo’s Lead Scoring model using Marketo to score incoming marketing leads based on the Ideal Customer Profile, target personas, and behavioral actions.
- Define and create measures for success and continuously drive improvement to provide Sales the leads with the greatest chance of converting to revenue.
- Provide insights and recommendations to build an Account Scoring model, collaborating with Sales Operations to identify the strongest accounts for Marketing and Sales to target and nurture.
- Utilize existing tooling and signals to scope, implement, maintain the model; continuously measuring success and iterating based on changes in selling strategy or market influence
- Oversee end report on Marketing’s influence to all New Land Revenue, identifying the trends and areas of impact to scale and apply to Lead and Account models going forward.
- Define and Execute Marketing Performance Metrics
- Drive consistent and accurate performance analysis, reporting and insights for all campaigns, providing the Demand Generation Team with insights to drive strategy and measure ROI.
- Understand the impact of campaigns based on each segmentation or group as well as each stage of the funnel.
- Build a consistent reporting structure based on Marketing’s calendar, measuring the success and impact of campaigns and initiatives. Use insights identified to drive impact and influence to Marketing’s campaign strategy.
- Define and own all quarterly reporting for Marketing, measuring Marketing’s impact on milestones tied to company and department goals to drive revenue and grow our Marketable database.
- Continuously automate and improve Marketing reporting by optimizing Marketo’s configuration and utilizing CRM Analytics to provide real time insights to Marketing leaders to measure impact and ROI of all initiatives.
- Manage Apollo’s attribution model, implementing new improvements based on evolving sales and marketing strategies.
- Marketing Tool Management
- Optimize the configuration of all of Apollo’s Marketing Tools, identifying and driving improvements while employing best practices. For example, making sure all mapped data flows from Marketo to Salesforce, auditing for data gaps and discrepancies, or confirming email segments are built properly.
- Own and manage persona segmentation in Marketo, evaluating the definitions and effectiveness annually and making updates accordingly.
- Define marketing automation best practices including list management, email deliverability, optimization, and data quality and hygiene. Partner with Marketing Demand Generation to ensure alignment and consistency.
Who You Are
- 8+ years of experience in marketing operations, specializing in implementing, managing, and optimizing marketing technology solutions.
- Proven ability to work autonomously on high-impact projects with long-term business implications, influencing cross-functional stakeholders at all levels.
- A recognized expert in marketing ops, skilled at mentoring peers and sharing knowledge to elevate org capabilities.
- Experience driving continuous improvement with Lead and Account Scoring models with Enterprise customers.
- Experience leveraging Salesforce, Marketo, and analytical tools (CRMA, Tableau, etc.) is required.
- Experience with Qualified, Clearbit, UTM.io Zapier, and LinkedIn Lead Generation forms is a plus.
- Strong ability to gather, analyze, and report on data, turning facts into insights and recommendations.
- A passion for using data to drive storytelling that helps solve complex problems.
- A desire to constantly learn and improve
- Experience putting presentations together for senior cross-functional stakeholders e.g. CRO, CFO, CCO.
