**OVERVIEW**
Hunger Free Oklahoma is seeking a full-time Senior Development Specialist to strengthen donor relationships and plan impactful fundraising activities. This role is essential for advancing our mission through effective donor cultivation, database management, and event planning. The Senior Development Specialist will work closely with leadership, the Communications Department, and the Grants Manager to create meaningful donor experiences and successful fundraising campaigns.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, has excellent organizational skills, and is passionate about building relationships that drive mission-based support.

We provide support through technical assistance, convening, research, and policy guidance to nonprofit, government, and other stakeholders statewide.
**WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING**
The Senior Development Specialist will be supervised by the Director of Strategic Advancement. The role will evolve over time, but the core of your work will be:
**Collaborate with Leadership to Identify Potential Donors**
- Manage relationships with major donors and prospects
- Implement donor recognition and stewardship programs
- Oversee donor database management and gift processing
- Manage the annual solicitation letter
- Ensure leadership is prepared for donor meetings
**Event Management**
- Plan and execute occasional, small fundraising events and donor cultivation activities
- Coordinate logistics and manage budgets for all events
- Collaborate with Communications to develop sponsor packets
- Recruit event sponsors (in coordination with the Grants Manager)
- Manage Giving Day initiatives (in collaboration with Communications)
**WHO YOU ARE**
_To qualify for this job, you will have:_
- High school diploma or equivalent and have 8 or more years of relevant experience; OR 8 years in a combination of post-secondary education or training and relevant work experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong relationship-building skills to engage donors, sponsors, and colleagues effectively
- Development experience in prospect and stewardship areas (preferred)
- Experience with donor management systems (preferred)
- Located in Oklahoma City (preferred)
