We are looking for an exceptional Senior Design Technologist that enjoys solving complex problems with data-informed solutions. This person will be a core member of our mature and growing design system team, and help create a best-in-class Enterprise SaaS product with desktop, tablet and mobile touchpoints.

Reporting to the Group Manager, Design Systems, the Senior Design Technologist possesses a balanced toolkit of research, interaction design, front-end development, and prototyping capabilities. As a Senior Design Technologist, you push the boundaries of user interface, experience design, design systems thinking, and prototyping at ServiceTitan. You drive design decisions across a team and turn them into a reality in a browser. You’re also adept at being excellent collaborative partners with our friends in Product, Engineering and QA.

What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate and solution closely with designers, developers, stakeholders, and product managers to ship an extraordinary end-to-end user experience toolkit

  • Be a core contributor to our design system through visual explorations, contributing code, documentation, and feedback

  • Participate in user research and usability studies

  • Prototype flows, concepts, and interactions

  • Champion the tenets of good product design and leverage partnerships with others to build awareness throughout the organization

  • Mentor product designers on using the system, and help them build consistent mental models for users

  • Mentor Design System teammates, ideating on solutions and providing feedback to help strengthen the team

  • Interact with users to develop a solid understanding of their workflows, environments, use cases and pain-points

  • Work closely with product designers and developers to maintain consistency and ensuring system standards are met across the Product

  • Be an advocate for Adaptive Design, mentoring designers on best practices across multiple platforms and devices

  • Maintain a multi-platform Design System in design tools such as Figma, and in code tools such as VS Code, Git, and Storybook

What You’ll Need

  • Experience designing modern SaaS/Enterprise products across multiple platforms

  • A strong design portfolio that shows off your process, reasoning and outcomes

  • A deep understanding of systems thinking; you see how all the parts fit together and how small changes propagate throughout the system

  • Strong knowledge of Accessibility best practices across both Design and Engineering

  • You love collaborating but are also able to take ownership of entire projects

  • You are an effective communicator, while keeping the goal of consistent and great UX top of mind

  • Excellent ability to develop and sustain relationships across teams and functions

  • Aptitude for providing design feedback and a genuine desire to help less experienced designers improve their skill sets

  • Experience documenting UX standards, creating assets and guidance that are consistent with current consumer needs

  • You thrive in a highly iterative process that involves listening, adapting, moving fast, talking with users, incorporating feedback, and constantly collaborating

  • A deep understanding of HTML & CSS and thorough knowledge of a JS framework, like React

  • Proficiency in common design tools such as Figma

  • Experience contributing to Design Systems within an organization or as part of an open-source project

  • Several years of experience working at a large-scale company, preferably Enterprise/B2B

Bonus

  • Interest or experience collaborating on custom plugins in design tools, such as Figma

  • Background creating experiences that utilize AI holistically

ServiceTitan is committed to fair and equitable compensation for all of our employees. We thoughtfully consider a wide range of factors when determining individual compensation. The expected salary range for this role for candidates residing in the United States is between $115,000 USD - $165,000 USD. Compensation for candidates residing outside the United States will vary by location and the specific salary range will be discussed during the hiring process. Actual compensation for an individual may vary depending on skills, performance over time, qualifications, experience, and location. In addition to the base salary, the total compensation package also includes an annual bonus, equity and a holistic suite of benefits.
