Job Summary

Responsible for all database maintenance, analysis, reporting, and donor/prospect data health and integrity as well as responding to all data requests and providing administrative support to the Fund Development department. In this role the coordinator will report to the Chief Development Officer and provide general support to the Fund Development function during peak periods.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all functions of Raiser’s Edge database management including data and gift entry, data health and integrity, data clean up, and fiscal and activities reporting.
  • Set policies and procedures for gift entry, gift acknowledgment, and gift receipting.
  • Strategically review existing donor/prospect data to determine future needs of the department in terms of affinity data, analytics, and retrieval to ensure GSEOK is positioned to meet short and long-term fundraising goals, and direct the collection, import, and periodic review of any data deemed to be missing.
  • Manage the data health and integrity efforts for the Fund Development department through consistent, thorough review to ensure elimination of duplicate records and inconsistent data, while increasing the accuracy and reliability of data housed in the database.
  • With incredibly high levels of accuracy, process contributions received through all giving mechanisms and disseminate information to Fund Development and Accounting staff as needed.
  • Acknowledge and receipt all gifts in accordance with IRS guidelines.
  • Establish a long-term strategy for effective storage and electronic accessibility of donor documentation.
  • Manage fundraising analysis efforts by building reporting to track metrics, streamline fundraising reporting and promote more efficient financial reporting in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  • Audit the organization's current database utilization and develop more effective policies and procedures to increase capacity and efficiencies within the Fund Development department.
  • Develop and maintain standard queries and reports related to donor/prospect communication, annual fund solicitations, and overall departmental fundraising performance.
  • Oversee event registrations and attendee tracking related RSVP lists, and any webforms needed for the Fund Development department.
  • Attend all fund development events to assist as needed.
  • Provide administrative support to Fund Development department.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, MIS or related discipline, or equivalent directly related work experience.
  • 3 years of experience managing a Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge database
  • Minimum of two years nonprofit related work experience.
  • Must have previous experience with database management.
  • Must have a valid driver's license within the state of employment.

  • Computer experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Physical and Schedule Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends.
