Overview
Supports the company's cash flow objectives and customer service expectations of excellence by managing the assigned collection portfolio in an advanced manner.
Key Responsibilities
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for the fast-paced collections
- Responsible to maintain acceptable aging levels
- Manage collection notes on an advanced level
- Works with internal teams and customers to perform Root Cause Analysis on past due accounts
- Accountable to meet with manager weekly to discuss performance metrics
- Works with differing teams and team members to resolve invoice disputes
- Determines the frequency and type of collection activity to be initiated against past-due customers
- Develops written procedures and contacts to support collection process on assigned portfolio accounts and ensures appropriate collection activities are followed in sequence
- Works closely with Customers, Sales, Customer Service, Admins, Service Centers, and Operations as required
- Work in Sales Force, Excel, Service Now, Axapta, WinSoft Great Plains, Word, and Email
- Maintain strong partnerships with internal and external customers by understanding and responding to customer needs and requirements for billing and payment execution.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years Business to Business collections experience required
- Experience in handling high dollar portfolios and highly visible transactions
- Experience tracking and resolving issues core issues
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to exercise tact and discretion when handling confidential information is a requirement
- Proven understanding the collections role plays in the timing of cash flow management
- Proven understanding of excellence in customer service
- Computer literate with Microsoft Excel and Word at the Intermediate Level
- Must be able to negotiate payment terms most favorable to TDW while maintaining customer loyalty
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
