Responsible for planning, developing, and coordinating Senior Center activities, and Senior Center Customer Services. Manage Member Advocates, Medicare/HAP Coordinator, SHP Volunteers and oversee the Volunteer Program. Scheduling and coordination of conference room activities for Medicare programs, enrollment, and Healthcare Reform as well as other meetings.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage Member Advocates, Medicare/HAP Coordinator, part-time employees and volunteers. Oversee the assigned marketing and customer service activities at the Senior Center, including handling walk-ins and new enrollees.
- Coordinate Senior Center clinics, seminars, education programs and meetings. Plan and submit schedules/calendars to the Corporate Communications Coordinator for the following month on the first day of the month. Travel may be required.
- Coordinate Senior Center programs and classes to improve Star Ratings for not only the Medicare lines of business but also for the commercial lines of business related to the exchange and Healthcare Reform.
- Manage Member Advocate calls and HAP survey follow-up calls. Complete and distribute reports related to phone and walk-in activity at the Senior Center.
- Manage the handling of all CTMs, HICS, potential inadvertent PHI issues, good cause requests, and reporting associated with these processes.
- All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Thorough knowledge of HMI plans, reenrollment, benefits and claims.
- Highly organized and attentive to detail.
- Ability to work effectively with personnel at various levels.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in personal computers, especially word processing applications as well as working knowledge of database applications.
- Successful completion of Health Care Sanctions background check.
- Must have a current driver's license and vehicle insurance verification.
- Ability to converse and write fluently in English
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- At least five years related work experience in managed health care, health insurance or related field.
- Three to five years supervisor or management experience preferred.
- Customer service experience required.
- Experience with face-to-face customer service.
- Experience working with the elderly preferred.
- Understanding/working knowledge of senior health plans and commercial product lines preferred.
