Description

  • Facilitate Agile Ceremonies: Lead and facilitate all agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Coach and Mentor Teams: Guide and coach the team on agile principles and practices to ensure they understand and follow the Scrum framework effectively.
  • Remove Impediments: Identify and address impediments to team progress and facilitate solutions through collaboration with other teams and stakeholders.
  • Promote Collaboration: Foster collaboration within the team and across teams, promoting transparency, communication, and servant leadership.
  • Support Product Owner: Assist the product owner with backlog refinement and prioritization, ensuring the team is always working on the highest priority items.
  • Monitor Metrics: Track and communicate team metrics and progress to stakeholders, using data to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous improvement through regular retrospectives and by identifying opportunities to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Facilitate Decision Making: Help the team make decisions that maximize value and minimize risk, foster an environment of trust and empowerment.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Scrum master in a software development environment, with a deep understanding of agile methodologies.
  • Certification: Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent certification is required. Additional certifications such as Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) or Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) are a plus.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and facilitation skills with the ability to lead and influence teams without direct authority through leading by example and serving.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced and changing environment, with a passion for continuous learning and improvement.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with modern software development practices and tools is preferred.
