JOB SUMMARY

ONEOK is looking for a Scheduler to support the management and execution of the company's optimization program. This role will leverage the ability to coordinate and collaborate across stakeholder groups to ensure the success of the program. There will be many opportunities to streamline processes and drive incremental value. An emphasis on creative problem solving and fostering strong internal relationships is desired.

Job Profile Summary

Ensures execution of the company's optimization program through independently performing tasks and partnering with other departments (Field Operations, Scheduling, Inventory Management, Marketing, Accounting, and Quality Control).

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Optimize mainline pump schedules and product volatility data in multiple data application systems to identify optimization opportunities
  • Evaluate and optimize demand/schedules and inventories
  • Develop, communicate and coordinate execution of the most effective multi-layered optimization schedule. This involves remaining on call 24/7 to respond in an expedited manner to disruptions caused by mainline schedule changes, field operations emergencies, carrier delays, and supply disruptions
  • Work in a cooperative team setting with other departments (Field Operations, Scheduling/Inventory, Marketing, and Quality Control) to optimize operations conducted across different facilities
  • Track product consumption and forecast demand to ensure operations are not disrupted by supply constraints
  • Calculate product volumes as needed
  • Monitor and track any lost margin capture opportunities
  • Ensure that all compliance and regulatory specifications are being met
  • Coordinate with Scheduling and Quality Control any corrections to adapt the optimization schedule to changing conditions, and coordinate field operations and product suppliers to minimize lost opportunities
  • Through utilization of data from internal applications and other sources, report relevant volumes geographically on a frequent basis in support of commodities sales and hedging operations
  • Prepares reports to provide management with performance monitoring

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or accounting with job related experience or equivalent formal education to include a combination of courses such as accounting, business law, business communications, algebra, basic statistics, or speech and the following job-related knowledge or experience

Work Experience

  • Experience and thorough knowledge of nomination and scheduling of crude oil volumes on a pipeline system
  • Experience analyzing and resolving issues and/or questions concerning scheduling, nominations, balancing, and allocations
  • Experience in use and function of office equipment including mainframe applications and microcomputers and applicable software
  • Experience and/or training related to:
    • Scheduling
    • Purchasing
    • Accounting
    • Transportation services
    • Volume control
    • Customer service
    • Pipeline Tariffs
    • Distribution (as specified by position)
  • Experience reading and interpreting applicable contracts, agreements, reports, statements, invoices, confirmations, correspondence, tariffs, government regulations, industry standards, electronic bulletin board communications, and company policies and procedures
  • Experience composing and preparing balancing reports, volume summaries, confirmations, reports, pipeline postings, storage reports, and electronic bulletin board communications
  • Experience analyzing information, conducting meetings, and making presentations

  • Ability to: apply basic math, algebra, and statistics
  • Ability to: communicate and/or exchange written and verbal information or instructions
