Get to Know Your Team:
- Tulsa Spine & Specialty Hospital specializes in surgical services, diagnostic imaging and pain management, offering state-of-the-art MRI, computed tomography and myelography technology.
Responsibilities
- Performs diagnostic tests, patient care and selects appropriate technical factors to insure proper diagnosis of patients
- Operate imaging equipment during intra-operative procedures including C-arm, O-arm, Mini C-arm, and portable x-ray unit
- Operates diagnostic imaging equipment including X-ray and fluoroscopy
- Selects appropriate exposure factors to produce high-quality images while maintaining ALARA standards
- Prepares and positions patients for diagnostic exams
- Cleans and maintains imaging equipment
- Protects patients and personnel from radiation hazards
- Maintains required records such as daily log books
- Navigate the PACS system including review of images and uploading outside exams
- Apply and maintain current knowledge of radiation protection and safety practices
- Ensures imaging equipment is in proper working condition and reports issues to the radiology manager
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- Associates degree from an accredited Radiology Program
- ARRT (R) Registry
- Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire
Preferred Job Requirements:
- One year of X-Ray Tech experience
