FS General Equipment Tech (HVAC)
Schedule Options: Schedule 40 hours
Pay: The starting salary for this position is $25.96 per hour plus bonuses.
Primary Purpose of Job:
Maintain all equipment and facilities in good working order. Maintain a professional working relationship with the facility team members. Work efficiently using good work order management and time management skills to prioritize repairs, Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment according to established guidelines and safety procedures.
Major functions for this position:
1. Maintain all equipment and facilities in good working order.
a. Troubleshoot, diagnose issues, and make repairs to equipment in the warehouse according to technician classification. Follow all applicable safety policies and procedures.
b. Work efficiently using mobile device and time management skills to quickly prioritize repairs. Ensure all work orders are resolved within the predetermined time frame.
i. Utilize the Call Management System and assigned mobile device to prioritize and document work orders.
ii. Follow established guidelines by starting and finishing work shift based on work order volume and priority.
iii. Follow established guidelines to plan and execute the highest impact on priority and overdue work orders.
c. Provide good customer service by communicating with Team Leaders.
2. Work efficiently to address all work orders in each location.
a. Meet established company standards on technician work efficiency ratings based on Technician Trade as outlined in Facility Support guidelines.
b. Ensure all work orders are updated regularly with appropriate, informative details.
c. Ensure all parts and labor used to repair equipment is properly entered for each work order.
d. Complete all scheduled and assigned Planned Maintenance and Special Project work orders within predetermined time frames.
3. Ensure all applicable administrative tasks are completed timely and accurately.
a. Use mobile device according to established procedures to record all direct and indirect labor cost.
b. Perform all inventory control procedures for transferring, issuing, requesting, and returning parts and/or materials to or from parts locations.
c. Maintain assigned tools according to established applicable company procedures.
4. Attend and participate in meetings, training classes, and requested training to maintain and improve technical proficiency.
a. Utilize the mobile device to request training on equipment that is needed.
b. Attend and participate in all skill schools, new equipment, and other training as assigned or requested.
c. Maintain all required manufacturer and QuikTrip certifications as requested.
d. Respond to request from resource groups for resolutions to problem equipment.
e. Share best practices concerning equipment repairs.
f. Work with other technicians to improve technical proficiency of the department.
g. Attend and participate in weekly team meetings.

6. Skills Needed to Perform Work Duties
a. Learn and comprehend troubleshooting of electrical circuits and components.
i. Understanding the fundamentals of electrical and work with it safely.
ii. Read electrical drawing such as schematics, line drawing, and ladder diagrams.
iii. Add new circuits, run conduit, pull wire, troubleshoot control devices and circuits.
iv. Troubleshoot components and motors correctly and safely.
b. Maintain interior facility systems including but not limited to lighting, light material handling equipment, conveyors and bakery and commissary equipment, and dock equipment.) Maintain and repair various exterior facility systems including but not limited to landscape, irrigation, fuel systems, fence and gate systems, lighting and security.
c. Facility Maintenance, Carpentry and Metal fabrication- Door repair, painting, welding, pallet rack repair etc.
d. Basic plumbing- unclog toilets, replace faucet washer, run lines, sweat solder etc.

Position Specifications
Requirements for this position:
1. Education:
High school graduate or equivalent. Must successfully complete in house training skill school within scheduled time frame, and pass test for Industrial Electrical Principles, HVAC Electrical, Fundamentals of Industrial Maintenance, Plumbing, Emerson, Lighting, Advanced Welding, and Motor Controls I, Pneumatic and Hydraulics (fluid power), and factory training class on forklifts.
2. Experience:
Basic knowledge of material handling equipment
3. Skills:
General mechanical aptitude and knowledge. Basic repair
Skills and computer skills. Must pass the QTD maintenance test. Must be able to communicate fluently in English (written and verbal)
Desired specifications for this position:
1. Education:
Vo-tech course in Industrial Maintenance and equipment
Repair.
2. Experience:
Two years industrial maintenance and one year work
experience in repair of material handling equipment.

Ensuring productivity by minimizing facility down time and maintaining equipment properly has a direct impact on expenses. Employee must be able to work with minimal supervision. Repairs must be performed timely and may result in working overtime.
