Primary Responsibility: This position is responsible for assisting with validation testing of new products at local test facilities and remote field demonstration sites. The primary functions of this role include fabrication and installation of prototype hardware; test scheduling and execution; collecting data and documentation associated with testing; preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment at test facilities.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with Product Development to plan, schedule, and execute testing of new products, product enhancements, and proof of concepts including catalysts, housings, instrumentation, and controls
- Work with engineering and production teams to fabricate and install prototype products for testing
- Gather test data and observations to support decisions on performance, durability, and serviceability
- Ensure proper maintenance and repairs are performed on test facility equipment including engines, generators, load banks, electrical distribution, process controls, and instrumentation
- Ensure facilities remain clean, organized, and well supplied to support a variety of testing requirements
- Maintain accurate records and regularly publish reports to internal staff on test schedules and progress, as well as facility utilization, maintenance, repairs, and upgrades
Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of control cabinets, process instrumentation, valves, pumps, compressors, and emission testing equipment preferred
- Proficiency with AC circuits, DC circuits, and relay logic
- Sharp analytical mind with an interest in engines, controls, and emissions
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Capable of physically demanding tasks such as heavy lifting and working off ladders or platforms
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must possess valid driver's license
- Must possess a passport or have the ability to obtain one
- ≤ 25% overnight travel expected
