Job Summary:
The fellowship is a one-year training position to provide advanced training in the areas of clinical service, integration of science and practice, professionalism, and ethical decision-making. The position includes a year-long placement at OSU- College of Health Sciences within our Psychiatry Department. The primary emphasis of the postdoctoral training is to support the development and implementation of our integrated care programming, specifically the implementation of Collaborative Care programs throughout our OSU Medicine clinics. Collaborative Care is a team-based, population-based approach to care that works to coordinate services of care managers, primary care providers, and psychiatry consultation. The Psychology post-doc will be a key member implementing the program in our Family Medicine, Pediatric, and Addiction Medicine services.
In addition to primary role supporting our integration services, the post-doc will also have the opportunity for secondary rotations in clinics throughout the OSU system. Possible elective rotations available including Outpatient Psychotherapy, Psychological Assessment, Adult Psychiatric Inpatient, Addiction, Hospital Consult-Liaison, and research opportunities. The training year provides required supervision and training opportunities, including participating in psychiatric grand rounds, didactics, and seminars. Time and support will be allotted for study to prepare for the professional licensing exam (EPPP) as needed.
