Position: Plant Accounting Supervisor
Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Plant Accounting Supervisor to join their team! This opportunity is with a leading organization that plays a crucial role in providing clean energy solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial close process, product costing, financial reporting, and internal controls. This position offers a great opportunity for those seeking career growth within a collaborative and safety-focused environment. The role also includes the potential for quarterly and annual bonuses.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the financial close process and product costing for monthly financial close activities
• Prepare, input, and review journal entries related to production, turnaround costs, and chemical inventory
• Conduct cost analysis and provide reporting on local key performance indicators (KPIs) and plant cost variances
• Assist with finished goods inventory reconciliation and asset componentization
• Develop and implement internal controls processes to ensure compliance with departmental and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, ensuring high-quality financial reporting
• Provide support for internal and external audits, budgeting, and quarterly financial updates
Required Qualifications & Experience:
• CPA (or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam)
• 5-7 years of accounting experience with increasing responsibility, including at least one year of supervisory experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
• Ability to acquire Transportation Worker Identification Credentials (TWIC)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
• Experience in chemical manufacturing or a related industry
• Previous experience with financial reporting and variance analysis
