JOB SUMMARY:

The Loss Prevention Specialist supports the Loss Prevention Manager (LPM) in the ongoing execution, training, and support of protecting Goodwill Industries of Tulsa, Inc. (GWIT) assets and resources. Assists in establishing strong partnerships with Operations and Store Management, Human Resources, and the local law enforcement community, representing GWIT in a manner that reflects the values and standards of the organization's mission and goals.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    1. Communicates, trains, and educates our team members in our loss prevention programs and strategies.
    2. Protect and monitor company assets, alarms, property, team members, and visitors through the enforcement of GWIT and Loss Prevention policies.
    3. Reviews and analyzes exception reports for suspicious activity and conducts further research to determine potential loss.
    4. Conducts site visits to ensure loss prevention strategies and training are adhered to through audits and/or inspections, providing findings to the LPM.
    5. Conducts investigations into shoplifting and internal and external theft following GWIT guidelines and standard operating procedures.
    6. CCTV review of GWIT locations including stores, donation sites, and processing sites, reporting suspicious activities to applicable management.
    7. Maintain confidentiality and discretion in dealing with sensitive or controversial issues and information.
    8. Perform other duties as assigned.

OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Must be at least 21 years of age.
  2. Must have reliable transportation, a valid Oklahoma Driver's License and insurance.
  3. Must be eligible for a favorable outcome on required criminal conviction background check.
  4. Must maintain Goodwill's Drug-Free Workplace.
  5. Goodwill considers this a safety-sensitive position because it includes tasks or duties that Goodwill reasonably believes could affect the safety and health of the employee or others.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Associate degree or equivalent work experience is preferred.
  2. Minimum 3-5 years Retail LP experience in a multi-unit capacity.
  3. Comprehensive understanding of Loss Prevention systems and techniques.
  4. Good computer skills (proficient in Microsoft Office).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Climbing, balancing, talking, hearing, stooping, crouching, reaching, handling, feeling, and seeing.

Lifting/Carrying: Medium work - lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and carrying of objects withing up to 25 lbs. Pushing/Pulling: Heavy work - Pushing/Pulling 100 lbs. maximum with frequent pushing/pulling of objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
