The ideal candidate will have experience in natural gas with resolving exceptions, collecting and auditing data, prepare compliance documents, and preparing reports. Job Profile Summary

Verify receipt of and analyze information related to meter data processing. Evaluate gas flow characteristics and flow patterns to ensure accurate, reliable, and timely distribution of measurement volumes to stakeholders while maintaining the SOX documented process.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Resolve system generated exceptions on meters using expertise in natural gas measurement
  • Assure all missing data is collected or appropriately estimated to ensure completion of the records per contractual obligations or standards. Assure that data has been entered into measurement system accurately from field activities and from third-party measurement. Collaborate with the field technicians and balance analysts as needed for equipment failures and suggested remediation
  • Perform multi month checks (rollups) and volume statement reviews for accuracy and prepare SOX compliance documents
  • Prepare appropriate documentation to support estimates or prior period adjustments that meet standards established for gas measurement. Collaborate with balance analysts and measurement leadership for workflow and approval
  • Compile and prepare reports for internal and external customers concerning various measurement activities such as reporting volumes received, delivered, and reporting lost and unaccounted for gas. Collaborate with IT as necessary for any custom report requests ensuring the report meets the customer’s expectations
  • Review documentation in Test-It and compare to historical and current information in Flow-Cal to assure gas measurement calculations and SOX data points are correctly captured. Collaborate with field technicians on any discrepancies and suggested remediation from calibration or data issues
  • Assist with resolving questions from customers, regulatory agencies, third-party integrators, auditors, employees, and others regarding various measurement activities, such as transmission of data and volumetric reports, in a timely and accurate manner in collaboration with balance analysts and measurement leadership
  • Participate in the analysis of measurement system processes and assist with any necessary improvements for processing volumetric data, increasing customer satisfaction, and/or reducing costs. Participate in activities as needed to complete improvements

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in closely related discipline or related formal education and the following job-related experience:

Work Experience

  • Experience with gas measurement applications such as Flow-Cal and Test-It and familiarity with reporting capabilities
  • Experience using word processing, spreadsheet, and communication applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint programs for reporting and analysis
  • Experience and/or training related to:
  • Gas measurement methods and standards
  • Electronic gas measurement applications such as Pgas, Flow-Cal, WINCCU
  • Chart integration processes
  • Supervisor Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system
  • Experience reading and interpreting reports, budgets, governmental regulations, trade journals, manuals, and correspondence

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to: to monitor and analyze gas measurement information via graphs or reports and experience with various customer flow pattern types
  • Ability to: to develop information and make presentations to groups and individuals
