Marketing Manager, Content & Internal Communications
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
The Marketing Manager, Content & Internal Communications is responsible for curating content for internal and external audiences, as well as leading Relation’s internal communications strategy and implementation. It is critical for the person in this position to ensure our various client audiences receive targeted information that adds value to their client experience, resulting in higher client retention. In addition, the person in this role ensures that our employees are informed, engaged, and aligned with the company's goals and values. The Marketing Manager serves as a key link between Corporate Marketing, Sales Operations, the Region/Local operations and Sales teams, and cross-functional teams, supporting communication strategies and planning. The person in this position is responsible for understanding communication objectives, as well as planning company-wide and region-specific communication initiatives that support the adoption of employee, service and sales platforms and communication channels. The person in this role will also track internal touchpoint metrics that result in increased revenue, client retention and employee retention.
A GLIMPSE INTO YOUR DAY
- Creates, curates, edits, distributes and manages content for various internal and external communication channels, including newsletters, intranet, campaigns, emails and social media.
- Develops and implements a comprehensive internal communications strategy that supports the company's objectives and enhances employee engagement.
- Collaborates with the Manager of Sales Operations, Senior Leadership, Human Resources, the Mergers and Acquisitions team, and Sales Coordinators to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with company goals.
- Establishes strong Regional relationships to enhance internal communications, including national and regional newsletters, to establish a cohesive employee experience and corporate culture.
- Plans and executes internal events/webinars, employee recognition programs, and other engagement activities.
- Monitors and measures the effectiveness of internal communication efforts and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
- Provides guidance and support to team members on best practices for internal communications.
- Maintains knowledge of a wide range of communication techniques and concepts, most importantly touchpoint plans, multi-channel management, and the adoption of platforms.
- Performs other projects, duties, and tasks, as assigned.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE IN THIS ROLE
- Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Marketing or Communications.
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in Marketing Communications.
- Insurance industry experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Canva Pro.
- Experience and/or knowledge of decentralized, service-based industries is strongly desired; including National and Regional communication experience.
- Proficient in SharePoint, Microsoft Office, Social, Project Management tools and AI.
- Self-managed and responsible for project and time management.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Experience with change management and employee engagement initiatives.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to influence and drive adoption of messaging and platforms into operational programs and planning.
- Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks of varying complexities effectively, meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
- Strong writing and proofreading skills, and prior copywriting and editing experience.
- Knowledge of a wide range of communication techniques and concepts.
- Knowledge of various communications channels, including MS SharePoint, Teams and Outlook, as well as LinkedIn and other social media platforms.
- Strong knowledge of leveraging AI (ChatGPT and Copilot).
