
Manager, Business Communications (Healthcare)

Position Summary
As the Senior Manager, Business Communications (Medicare) you will be responsible for the creation and editing of written content for a variety of communications designed to address the needs of our Medicare members. As the writer you will ensure all content meets our brand standards for style, readability and plain language, and will work closely with other roles in the organization, such as designers, web content developers, product managers, and subject matter experts to ensure the smooth creation, production and distribution of assigned communication projects.
What you will do
- Develop tactical and operational plans to achieve the Business Communications area's goals, and communicates plans to managers, supervisors, and individual contributors.
- Ensure team compliance with policies and procedures to achieve the organization's Business Communications goals and objectives.
- Coordinate communications solutions with organizational objectives.
- Benchmark key performance indicators for measuring effectiveness of communication initiatives.
- Determine best practices and audience insight for communication services.
- Collaborate with communication professionals to support integrated communication efforts.
- Audit communication materials for accuracy, appropriateness, and reflection of organizational core values.
- Manage operational aspects of the team (e.g., budget, performance, and compliance), and implements workforce and succession plans to meet business needs.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years’ experience writing in a corporate environment, with experience in the health care industry and a compliance-driven environment.
- Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience writing for a variety of communication vehicles, from basic letters to omni-channel digital pieces (work samples/portfolio required)
- Strong attention to detail, with experience to confidently take a project from concept to final execution.
- Strong project management and oral/written communication skills
- Comfortable working as either a leader or active team member on high-profile projects with other persons from a range of business units and organizational levels.
Education
- College Degree or equivalent work experience

The typical pay range for this role is:
$54,300.00 - $119,340.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
