Job Summary:

The Special Projects Director is responsible for supervising, leading, and motivating team members daily. The director is responsible for developing, implementing, and giving oversight to special projects including but not limited to: Positive Behavior Support Program, Family Case Management, Client Community Integration, Client Health & Wellness Initiative, Client Specialty Engagement Groups, and other innovative initiatives. The director provides leadership in our core values by consistently delivering a high quality of professionalism, developing bold initiatives and exceptional customer service to clients and employees, and ensuring our services are always client focused. The position is expected to uphold the mission and values established by A New Leaf, Inc.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide direct supervision to 6+ staff members plus any assigned interns.

2. Responsible for the overall delivery and execution of A New Leaf, Inc.’s Positive Behavior Support Program, ensuring all program services provided are focused on the specific needs of the individual clients and students served.

3. Responsible for the management and oversight of the client; waiting lists, community integration, health & wellness initiatives, and specialty engagement groups.

4. Assure compliance with all state, local and federal regulations.

5. Develops and monitors the annual department budget to include all program revenues and expenses.

6. Develop collaborative community partnerships with industry professionals.

7. Develops ways to attract new clients/students to our programs through collaboration with state case managers, schools, other agency providers, and the community-at-large.

8. Track and report on the department outcomes for all programs. Ongoing evaluation of the effectiveness of program/training program through continual monitoring and reporting.

9. Establishes a positive relationship with staff, clients, vendors, schools, and funding agencies, ensuring the A New Leaf, Inc. Special Projects Department is always friendly and welcoming.

Qualifications:

  • Master of Social Work Degree (MSW) preferred.
  • Preferred two years related experience with progressive managerial responsibilities.
  • Experience working with adults with developmental disabilities and/or Autism preferred but not required.
  • Expressed desire to work with personnel with developmental disabilities.
  • Positive attitude toward working with a diverse population.
  • Embody the values of A New Leaf, Inc.: client-focused, great customer service, professional, and innovative.
  • Must have Business Acumen; Management experience; Strategic Thinking; Problem solving/analysis; Financial Management; Customer/Client focus.
  • Strong organizational skills and an ability to thrive and be productive in a team-oriented environment.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines through good planning, scheduling, and follow-through.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to comfortably handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft programs; Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Final hiring pending on OSBI background check, clean driving record, Community Services Registry check and pre-employment screening.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and up-to-date vehicle insurance.

Special Requirements:

· Criminal arrest check will be done through the OSBI; Per Section 1025.1 et seq. Of Title 56 of the Oklahoma statues, House Bill 1790, any prospective employee with a felony or misdemeanor conviction, guilty plea or plea of nolo contendere will not be eligible for employment. This prohibition may be disregarded if an appropriate waiver is obtained from the Office of the Director, DDSD, Department of Human Services, or his/her designees.

· Community Services Registry checks (House Bill 1790) will be done through DDSD, Department of Human Services. The person whose name appears on the registry cannot work for A New Leaf.

· Employees and A New Leaf are engaged in an at-will employment relationship, meaning that either are free to terminate the relationship at any time with or without reason and with or without notice.
