About the Position:

Tulsa Center for Behavioral Health is currently recruiting for a Licensed Behavioral Health Professional. The primary duty of this position is to support both the admissions and clinical teams. This position will complete crisis evaluations to determine if individuals meet criteria for inpatient psychiatric hospitalization. Additional duties include: completing suicide risk assessments, determining initial diagnoses, and answering phones. This position works in collaboration with a variety of mental health professionals. As part of supporting the clinical team, duties could include biopsychosocial assessments, developing treatment plans and providing brief therapeutic interventions such as crisis stabilization and developing safety/wellness plans.

Job Type/Salary:

  • Open/Close dates: 5/1/2025 - Until filled

  • Full-time

  • Annual payrate: $71,000

  • Differentials include: $3.75/hr evenings; $6.00/hr nights; $9.00/hr weekends; $3.00/hr holidays

  • Primary Working Hours are Monday-Friday 10:30pm-7:00am

  • FLSA Status: Exempt

Minimum Qualifications and Experience: Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of a master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or closely related field and must be a practitioner with a license to practice, issued by one of the following Oklahoma state licensure boards: Oklahoma State Board of Examiners of Psychologists, Oklahoma State Board of Licensed Social Workers (clinical specialty only), Oklahoma Board of Behavioral Health Licensure, Oklahoma Licensed Behavior Analyst Board, or the Oklahoma State Board of Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (examples of accepted licensure include: Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT), Licensed Behavioral Practitioner (LBP), Oklahoma Licensed Behavior Analyst Board, Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC), Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor/Mental Health (LADC/MH)) or the completion a master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or closely related field and be actively and regularly receiving board approved supervision, and extended supervision by a fully licensed clinician if the board's supervision requirement is met, but the individual is not yet licensed, to become licensed by one of the following licensure boards: Oklahoma Board of Behavioral Health Licensure (Professional Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, and Behavioral Practitioner), Oklahoma Licensed Behavior Analyst Board, Oklahoma Licensed Behavior Analyst Board, or Oklahoma State Board of Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselors (Alcohol and Drug Counselor) plus one (1) year of experience in providing professional behavioral services to consumers in a state approved facility or similar entity.

Special Requirements:

  • Applicant must be able to pass an OSBI background check.

  • Applicant must be willing and able to fulfill any job-related travel normally associated with this position and as such have a valid driver’s license.

About us: Tulsa Center for Behavioral Health (TCBH) provides a supportive, safe and welcoming environment in which an array of integrated therapeutic interventions promotes an improved quality of life for consumers and the community. TCBH serves individuals eighteen years of age or older who present in a mental health crisis with or without substance abuse and are determined medically stable.

We will transition soon into our new 140,000 square foot, 106-bed hospital, slated for completion in 2026. This state of the art facility, the Oklahoma Psychiatric Care Center, will feature a 24-hour crisis response Urgent Recovery Center and will be situated in the OSU Academic Medical District, near the new VA Hospital and the OSU Medical Center in downtown Tulsa.

Drug and Alcohol Pre-employment and Pre-placement Testing: Upon a conditional offer of employment, applicants for safety sensitive positions shall be required to submit to urinalysis to test for drugs. Appointment to a safety sensitive position shall be contingent upon a negative drug test result.

THIS AGENCY REQUIRES COVERAGE 24 HOURS, 7 DAYS PER WEEK. WORK HOURS AND LOCATION MAY VARY DEPENDING ON BUSINESS NECESSITY. EMPLOYEES MAY BE REQUIRED TO WORK WEEKENDS AND OVERTIME.
