Purpose of Position
Directs, coordinates and exercises functional authority for liaison tasks within area of assigned responsibility.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Participate in design studies and preliminary design work and provide guidance to Engineering.
- Review designs and DCNs before release to ensure accuracy and traceability of all drawings coming from Engineering.
- Provide inputs for bids, budgets, proposals, and schedules.
- Coordinate as technical interface with the OEM, customer, and engineering to define specific requirements that may affect training equipment design efforts.
- Review incoming data, maintain and coordinate DIR’s, configuration changes, additional parts requirements and schedule changes.
- Participate as needed in flight tests, parts and data conferences and customer reviews.
- Maintain and coordinate Discrepancy Reports, APLD’s.
- Coordinate running tests prior to customer acceptance.
- Run acceptance tests prior to ship in conjunction with engineers and confirm all tests run and hardware is operational.
- Coordinate teardown, ship and installation of equipment.
Minimum Education
Associates degree in related field
Minimum Experience
+ Three (3) years’ experience
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- General knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering as it applies to Flight Simulation is preferred.- Spreadsheet applications and databases, CAD programs and viewers
Physical Demands and Work Environment
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
