Job Description

The Learning Consultant I is primarily responsible for learning solutions for our business partners. This position provides training support and project management to ensure the design, development, and delivery of learning both in-person and online curriculum. The Learning Consultant I addresses the training needs of new and existing employees to include technical skills required to perform their jobs, implementation of new technology and/or upgrades and enhancements as well as new or revised policies and procedures. They will support team strategies in the areas of technical development, new hire on-boarding, and the delivery of surveys to participants for data management and reporting of learning events.

How You'll Spend Your Time

  • You will facilitate a select group of virtual and in-person courses for individual contributors.
  • You will develop and deliver monthly reporting to key stakeholders around digital learning, in-person learning, and Enterprise Learning dashboard measurements.
  • You will provide support in planning classroom learning event logistics and managing supporting vendors.
  • You will own the Consumer learning and Mortgage inboxes and respond to inquiries about formal learning.
  • You will measure, align, assess, format and execute learning material to new and existing employees and be the face of the onboarding learning experience.
  • You will regularly work with other Enterprise Learning Team member to complete preform discovery, develop curriculum and deliver training as needed.

Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s Degree and 3-5 years in a learning & development or similar role; Or equivalent experience of 8+ years. Experience in a financial institution is preferred.

  • Group facilitation strategies and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical and project management skills: Pulls together information from a variety of sources in a user-friendly, business driven manner
  • Training assessment, design, and e-learning experience
  • Advanced knowledge of banking products/services, policy, procedures, delivery systems, i.e., deposit products, account maintenance, deposit regulations, and new account procedures, etc.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Learning Management Systems.
  • PC and software skills including spreadsheet, data base, and word processing applications.
  • Experience working in a virtual environment with remote teams and customers
  • Strong written, verbal, critical thinking, problem solving, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to develop reports, policies, and procedures
  • Ability to organize multiple activities which require close attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently to achieve goals
