Job Summary:

This position will perform all aspects of machine operation for any machine in the plant including mills, drills, lathes, saw, belt, sander, grinder hydraulic presses, and pull tester.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate various machines in the plant.
  • Pass a Level 2 blueprint test and be able to read and understand Company's blueprints.
  • Read, write, and perform math skills in accordance with the detailed requirements of the job as identified.
  • Understand and follow all Company and OSHA safety procedures including lockout-tagout.
  • Accurately record time and production during the workday.
  • Perform the physical demands of the job.
  • Work a minimum of 40 hours per week and overtime as assigned.
  • Be willing to work any assigned shift.
  • Perform all other work-related duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Job Specifications:

2 years’ experience in manufacturing industry preferred

Educational Requirements:

High school diploma or GED required

Physical / Environmental Conditions:

Daily exposure to shop conditions, which are variable depending on the task assigned, but are generally dirty. Is subject to shop noise. Involves extensive standing and walking. Skin and eyes are subject to drying and irritating fumes, vapors and solutions controlled to OSHA standards. Works both in and out of doors, normally indoors, with sometimes dusty or confining work areas when in the shop/lab.
