Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is seeking to hire a passionate learner to fill the position of Knowledge Manager I. This position plays a critical role in the maintenance of MyHabitat, the organization’s intranet and extranet, working with program area Content Owners to ensure appropriate content is created, organized, published and maintained within this environment. MyHabitat, which utilizes SharePoint Online, is one of the most critical tools Habitat affiliates, national organizations, and HFHI staff have at their disposal to learn, share, and improve; the platform also plays a vital role in communications for the network. Nearly every service offered by HFHI to its affiliates and national organizations identifies MyHabitat as a primary communication channel.
This role is part of a dedicated Knowledge Management team that ensures quality control and coordinates the day-to-day maintenance of published content. They work with subject matter experts to manage content and conversations within the Knowledge Centers and Viva Engage communities, analyzing site usage data, identifying missing metadata and fostering the exchange of information and knowledge.
The Knowledge Manager I should have a strong orientation to detail and a willingness to learn about the field of Knowledge Management, implementing strategies to leverage the functionality of SharePoint Online to create a user-friendly, self-service experience.
This position may be based remotely within the US and requires 2% travel.
Responsibilities:
*Ensure adherence to the MyHabitat governing procedures, including expectations for roles and relationships,communication, branding guidelines, publishing processes, content reviews, repairing broken links, tagging files and pages with meta-data, using template pages and UX design principles. (40%)
*Assist KM team with library maintenance, curing broken links, revising naming conventions and updating metadata. (40%)
*Monitor online communities of users to generate reports, findings and talking points. (10%)
*Use MyHabitat reporting dashboards to monitor frequency of use and generate reports, findings and coaching/talking points. (10%)
Requirements:
*Associate degree.
*2+years of experience in customer experience/service, marketing, journalism, technical writing, UX design, product development, adult learning, or IT.
*Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
*Strong writing and editing skills.
*Technically savvy, or a quick study for technical areas.

The actual salary offered for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including location, internal equity and the candidate’s qualifications and professional experience. HFHI offers a competitive, comprehensive benefits package that varies by country and typically includes vacation leave, sick leave, personal days, health insurance options, retirement plan contributions and life insurance. For work locations in the US, the hiring range for this position is $57,890 to $68,100.
