Job Description

The IT Domain Architect III – Platform Solutions as an IT Domain Architect III specializing in Platform Storage and Data Protection, you will lead the design, implementation, and management of our advanced infrastructure systems. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring robust solutions for storage, backup, and ransomware protection for both on-premises and Cloud. You will be responsible for evaluating and selecting vendors, developing comprehensive migration plans, and creating strategic roadmaps to enhance the resilience and security of our infrastructure.

How You'll Spend Your Time

• You will design and implement infrastructure solutions with a focus on storage, backups, and ransomware protection.
• You will evaluate and select vendors for infrastructure components and services.
• You will develop comprehensive migration plans and strategies for infrastructure upgrades and transitions.
• You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of infrastructure systems.
• You will monitor and optimize infrastructure performance, ensuring high availability and reliability.
• You will implement and maintain security measures to protect against ransomware and other threats.
• You will provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
• You will stay up to date with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve our infrastructure.
• You will manage data storage systems, ensuring efficient data retrieval and optimized storage capacity.
• You will develop and maintain backup strategies, ensuring critical data is securely stored and recoverable.
• You will develop and test disaster recovery plans with recovery teams.
• You will implement ransomware protection measures, including endpoint hardening and network security.
• You will conduct regular training and awareness programs on ransomware threats.
• You will perform security assessments to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.
• You will identify and report on Key Performance Indicators, focusing on capacity planning and performance analysis.

Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through the completion of a master’s degree in a technology field and/or 10+ years of related IT experience.
Certifications that demonstrate a level of proficiency and knowledge in specific technologies or methodologies relevant to an IT Architect IV.

Skills:
• Expertise in designing and implementing infrastructure solutions, including storage, backups, and ransomware protection.
• Ability to evaluate and select vendors for infrastructure components and services.
• Proficiency with NAS, SAN, and cloud-based storage solutions, including Hitachi, PURE, Commvault, and NetApp.
• Experience in developing and maintaining backup strategies, disaster recovery plans, and ensuring data protection.
• Knowledge of implementing ransomware protection measures and developing response plans.
• Skills in monitoring and optimizing infrastructure performance, identifying and resolving issues.
• Ability to enhance automation of systems and platforms, identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Understanding of data protection policies, encryption, access controls, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address infrastructure challenges.
• Ability to plan and analyze capacity requirements and performance metrics.
• Proficiency in creating and maintaining technical design documents and standards.
• Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide technical leadership.
• Experience in providing technical leadership and mentorship to engineers.
• Skills in developing strategic roadmaps for infrastructure improvements and migrations.
• Ability to stay up to date with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve infrastructure systems.
• Adaptability to work in both cloud and on-premises environments.
• Identifies, creates, and reports on Key Performance Indicators, with an emphasis on capacity planning and performance analysis.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Self-motivated with demonstrated patience and courteous behavior when interfacing with the BOK Financial workforce.

Qualifications:
• 7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, storage, and data protection.
• Expertise in designing and implementing infrastructure solutions, including storage, backups, and ransomware protection.
• Proficiency with NAS, SAN, and cloud-based storage solutions, including Hitachi, PURE, Commvault, and NetApp.
• Experience in developing and maintaining backup strategies, disaster recovery plans, and ensuring data protection.
• Strong technical leadership and mentoring skills.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to stay up to date with industry trends and best practices.
• Adaptability to work in both cloud and on-premises environments.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect) are a plus.
