Temporary part-time position (up to 20 hours per week) for up to 3 months. Position is primarily in office at the Hardesty Leadership Center, 4810 S 129th E Avenue, Tulsa, OK. Previous experience supporting hiring managers with recruiting efforts is required.

Job Summary

The Human Resources Administrator is primarily responsible for supporting the organization through organizing and maintaining staff records, updating internal HR databases and preparing HR documents. Works collaboratively with other members of the staff to achieve the council’s strategic vision, short- and long-term plans, and project work.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Organize and maintain personnel records
  • Update internal databases
  • Post job openings and review applications for employment
  • Coordinate with hiring managers to schedule interviews, either in person or virtually
  • Prepare HR documents, such as employment offers and new hire orientation documents
  • Update company policies
  • Liaise with external partners, like insurance vendors, and ensure legal compliance
  • Create reports and presentations on HR metrics (e.g. turnover rates)
  • Answer employee queries about HR-related issues
  • Assist payroll department by providing relevant employee information
  • Process expense forms
  • Participate in HR projects (e.g. help organize a job fair event)
  • Support CHRO as needed

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous Human Resources/Recruiting experience.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent communication skills including active listening.
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook and common applications.
  • Experience with HR software; Paycom experience preferred.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Proven work experience as an HR Administrator, HR Administrative Assistant or related role
  • Working knowledge of labor laws
  • Excellent organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize important projects
  • Strong phone, email and in-person communication skills

Physical and Schedule Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends, as needed or required.
